Affection’s Disciple

To realize love’s strength is to be vulnerable.

If you have ever known true misfortune,

Then you would know that

A single moment of weakness

Is not the herald of eternal misery.

That vulnerable moment

When you are at your most uncertain

Is a testament to your principles.

You will find your resolve,

And above all,

Find your release for everything

That holds you back from your truth.

You will not know better

Until it happens.

This is the sine qua non

To reconditioning your worldview.

You will not know better,

Until you change course.

You will not know better,

Until you reach the end.

And when you discover

That nothing awaits you there,

Remember your experiences.

Forge your own merit,

And nurture your inspiration.

Even affection must be disciplined.
