A poem

Sinking in my own dispair

Self destructive

The suffering

Is immeasurable

I will try to swim again

Only to be under water once more

All of my thoughts/ All of these dreams

It's too much and weighs heavy on me

Through the tragedies and the darkness

The light of the day/ Is too much to take

Life is too real/ the fear is too much to face

Everything will be ok

The struggle will dissipate

If I only I suppress

The demons won't haunt me

And life won't be such a mess

With each swallow I intake

All around me all I feel is hate

If only I intake

Only then will I be free

Of all the tension, the anxiety

I'll be able to breathe

And then……

I will swim

Until I get swept under again
