Lights flashing

Heart crashing

Everyone’s spirits are high

Yet I sit and sigh.

You are the only thing

That is on my crazy mind.

But long ago I heard him sing

And he is what the heart wants to find.

Alone again in the dark

Wondering where I went wrong.

But now in my heart

I hear his song.

Let everything be

Have it just be me.

It is here thinking of the two

That my heart knew.

Love burnt my heart

For one we grew apart.

The other didn’t know me

Yet he set me free.

Wasted another night

Searching for a light

That could heal my heart.
