A fallen sail from stormy seas
A tilted ship from the horrid breeze
A rusted chain keeps it down below
But bound to break and set it free
A Toss, A Turn, with a flip and a flop
Would take a toll and roll and rock
In attempt to compress and possibly stop
A sea of tears held in a mop
There’s no escape although we try
The aches and pains of hurtful times
Some eyes may bleed from screams and cries
As they walk the dotted lines
A lightened blue that fills the skies
A parted truth that holds the lies
Ended days filled with goodbyes
But a sunken ship is soon to rise
