A riddle of royalty.

A puzzling mystery.

There was once a mighty king,

Who ruled both land and sea,

Full of majesty and power,

Dominion and authority!

He had a treasury full of silver,

His vaults were full of gold,

The most beautiful queen in all the land,

Strong, courageous, bold.

But the times where surely passing,

Seasons to come and by,

But life was such a fleeting breath upon the earth,

And his end would be all but nigh.

He yearned for something dear,

Despite all that had been done,

What could this thing be upon his heart?

What is the thing he yearned for despite everything under the sun?
