The Clock is Ticking

The ice caps are melting, oh my

The seas are rising, the sky is sighing

But we just turn a blind eye

To the damage, we're applying

Guess we'll just wait for the next guy

The earth is getting warmer, it's true

But we just say, "meh, what can we do?"

We drive our cars and burn our coal

Ignoring the damage we're taking a toll

The oceans are rising, the storms are getting fierce

But we just build our homes closer to the pier

Thinking we're safe, but we're oh so wrong

Our planet is suffering, we're singing this song

The animals are dying, their habitats destroyed

But we just buy more stuff, our joys never void

We cut down the forests, we pollute the air

Thinking we're invincible, we just don't care

But the time is now, to take a stand

To make a change, to take a hand

In saving our planet, before it's too late

Before it's too late, to set our fate

Let's reduce our carbon footprint, let's use clean energy

Let's recycle and conserve, let's make it our priority

We only have one earth, let's not be its demise

Let's work together before it's too late, let's rise.
