a midnight sun

the valley filled of lilac flame

P.S

By Taylor Murphy on Unsplash

it’s numbing; missing you

what a welcomed surprise you were

the friend turned lover

which i think allows for our love to continue to grow

it’s expansive and free

you’re astonishing amber, and forests of emerald green

a cerulean river that stretches to kiss its’ wild sea

i am missing you greatly

although, i did dance in an affair with autumn

-

saying "see you" to our summer solstice, farewell to a continued brisk chill of the moon and her flowing tides

goodbye to the sweet aroma of your falling rain

-

is a painful, endless agony

what so many others fail to see is your true beauty

a safe and graceful cloak of gentle winters’ embrace

there will never be another sunrise that will ever feel, like the one you throw over my face

-

p.s

-

when i abandoned you in fearful regret

my body physically felt the ache

the long lasting pressure of willingly suffocating

i would break my bones in half to prove my apologies

but time; she is ruthless, and that shit means nothing now

so here i am, hooked up to your memory

- surviving
