A Mama’s Love

My Life in Words

A Mama’s Love

You would stare at me for hours,

Until I look your way.

Silently in your swing,

You shout words you cannot say.

Ten tiny fingers,

Gripping one large hand.

In part now I know,

A love more vast than sand.

I am not a poet,

But for you I will write.

A love that can't be written,

A love deeper than night.

A love brighter than light.

A love further than sight.

Our love, together, will outlast life.
