Too tired
to defend myself.
Too drained
to speak.
Too exhausted to participate
in frivolous conversations.
Too weary to care
about mundane tasks.
Too seasoned to know
that things do not last.
Too fatigued to play
these games.
Too spent to cater
to insecurities.
Too burnt out
to be here -
Inside these walls.
Too much time
slipping away from my dream.
Yet, I notice how strangely -
Everything has slowed down.
A day seems like a week -
Passing time is now
a preoccupation.
Will you daydream
with me?
Escape this reality -
Fly above the world
and just be here
with me?
