A buzz in her pockets alerts her

This is the time she's been waiting for

After she has pack her bags with excitement

And her pills just in case the cat sheds too much

Her heart is racing, her smile is as bright as the sun

She thinks about all the things she can't wait to tell when she sees him

She reaches for her phone with excitment and bright eyes

She sees the notification which is a blue as day

"Sorry, I cannot get you today."

Her heart tightens, her eyes water

'Big girls don't cry she thought to herself'

Little did she know that was all lies

Now, she's old and haunted by her fears

All because she didn't let him see his daughter's tears
