A Collection of Nature Haikus
The Seasons
Here is a great article about haiku writing. (Rules for Writing Haikus)
****Spring****
More and more sunlight
Deep freeze is driven away
White blanket melting
*
Spring bringing forth life
New plants breaking the surface
Trees budding again
*
Sun rising higher
Warmth riding the spring breezes
A topaz blue sky
*
Color emerging
Green replaces shades of brown
Then yellow flowers
****Summer****
Early sunrises
Gardens begin to produce
Flowers bloom in full
*
Hazy hot humid
Sun-soaked land charges the air
Thunderstorms and rain
*
Thunder and rain
Windy summer thunderstorms
Violent chaos
*
A clear blue sky
Sun shining warm on my face
Grass under my feet
*
Warm evening breezes
Sounds of peepers at the pond
Fireflies dance about
****Autumn****
Leaves changing colors
Red orange golden yellow
Pink purple sunsets
*
Crunchy leaves under foot
Goose calls echo as they fly
Cool evening breezes
*
Pumpkins and cornstalks
Red apples dot the trees
Fall harvest bounty
****Winter****
Early fading sun
Cold covers the land at night
First snow soon to fall
*
Soft white flakes float down
Hibernating animals
Winter time is here
*
Deep dark purple sky
Thousands of stars above me
Moon-lit glistening
*
White covered landscapes
Silence falls over the land
Winter settles in

Wow. This is fabulous. Well done.
That was truly fantastic! It was like a series of haikus that transport you throughout an entire year. Took m on a journey, excellent stuff!
