A Beautiful Day

So why should I care?

A beautiful day,

To dance in the rain,

We stood there,

Ourselves,

Our souls divided,

To see the setting sun,

To fly,

High,

Into the sky,

To feel alive,

To feel,

The Earth is spinning,

Bring the giant,

Down,

To weep,

To read,

To see,

To hear,

We are the ones,

We are the ones who shall believe,

To rest,

On the ground,

Our heads pillowed by those leaves,

How shall we sleep,

When we cannot breathe?

How shall we sleep,

If we cannot be free?

She stood in the middle of the storm,

Her clothes,

Loosely against her skin,

She tried to cry,

But the rain washed away her tears,

But the pain was still there.

About the Creator

Jason Giecek

A poet who cannot rhyme, a dreamer who dreams in reality, realist who gave up realism last week as part of his plea agreement. The courts got nothing!! Nothing!
