I can clearly remember the day I told my roommate that I will be getting a cat. He joked about it, telling me one day I’ll come back home and the food served to me will contain lots of meat of which after eating I’ll be told I just ate my cat.

I’ve always been a dog-person. I grew up with dogs and God did I love them. They were playful, they were affectionate and were great companions. What’s not to love? Cats however, well they weren’t really for me. I once had a roommate who had a cat, Lucy. Lucy would stare at me in a way that I know cats just do naturally, but in my mind, I knew she was looking at me with distain. And the feeling was mutual. And because she was mostly not so nice, I made a blanket judgment about all cats. They are evil.

I didn't have work today... still had to get up early in the morning to wake up the kids and take Moya to the vets. After the dog was dropped off at 7 a.m. and the kids had jumped on the bus at 7:40 a.m. I promptly went back to bed. I slept until 11 a.m. (haven't been feeling too good).
