Are you ever in a funk? Having a bad day, week or month? Far away from family? You have come to the right place! I am here to give you a little pep talk. I practice these myself.

Here is a list of ways to boost your self-esteem!

A new outfit

A little “retail therapy” is a good boost. See if you can find a bargain!

A new healthy recipe

Dig out all of those cookbooks that are collecting dust and find a new and healthy meal to prepare.

A new hobby

Make some gift baskets, color an adult coloring book with gel pens, learn how to cross stitch, learn how to plant herbs, vegetables or flowers, etc There are plenty of YouTube tutorials..

Put on make-up

If you regularly wear make-up, use different shades. If you are a natural type of gal, wear some make-up for a change. Go to a department store and get a free makeover.

Do your hair

If you have straight hair, use a curling iron or hot rollers for a change. If you have curly hair, straighten with a flat iron.

Paint your nails

Do your nails need a little love? Give yourself a manicure.

Buy a loved one a gift

Think about what your loved one likes and then buy a related gift.

Make a loved one a meal

Are you known for making a delicious dish? Is it your pasta? Is it your pasta salad?

Clip coupons

Clip some coupons and challenge yourself to save as much money as possible.

Exercise

Do you have a collection of exercise DVDs? If not, get a few exercise DVDs from your local library. You can even watch exercise videos on YouTube. Leslie Sansone of Walk Away The Pounds is good.

Take a free course

There are ways to take courses for free! Go to:

Buy a new face mask

Instead of buying disposable face masks, why not buy some good quality face masks that you can wash?

Donate for the holidays

For example, donate to the Salvation Army, No Kid Hungry, etc.

Search for a new job

Because of the coronavirus, why not search for a work from home occupation? Go to:

Buy an inspiring and unique water bottle

Shop for a water bottle with a cute quote. Shop for a water bottle that can inspire you to get in that daily water intake.

Make some mocktails

Save yourself the hangover. Mocktails are just as good. As an example, make virgin whiskey. Mix root beer with diet Mountain Dew. Totally delicious! For examples, go to:

Read a book or listen to an audio book

Choose a book and let your mind wander. Is it a romance? A cookbook? A fitness book? Don’t focus on problems. Maybe choose one to learn something.

Siesta

When was the last time you had some good rest? Turn on your essential oil diffuser with a favorite oil and lay down. My favorite essential oil is rose as it takes away stress.

Write greeting card verse

If you are funny, submit to:

Gratitude

Start a gratitude journal. This tip I do not do, to be honest. However, I just might in the upcoming new year.

Have any of these tips helped you? Some tips are common sense. However you could be the smartest person in the world yet lack common sense.

Focus on doing good. Be kind.

There are people out there that would gladly trade places with you.
