When you look into the big wide world that is the internet, you will find so many articles on the best ways to set goals. It is easy to become overwhelmed and feel like you don't even know where to start!

We are going to break down different types of goals and how you can find what works best for you. Here are some of the most common goals and the best tips and tricks that I have found to help you achieve those goals. You are going to skyrocket your success!

7-Day Goal:

Seven-day goals are something that is wonderful when looking at the week before you. The first thing that you do at the beginning of the week is to sit down and write out your business goal as well as a seven-day personal goal. This will help make you feel as though you have something propelling you forward and renewing your energy!

The goal could be as small as cleaning out your desk. Even tackling something simple like that and completing that goal can take away some of the stress and negativity that is hanging around your workspace.

Seven-day goals are also beneficial because your deadline is fast approaching. By the end of the week, you know that you must check in with yourself and see what was accomplished and what was not.

Celebrate your victories and think about the next week and how you can improve.

30-Day Goal:

Now we are only moving to a 30-day goal. This is going to be a bigger feat. So while creating a 30-day goal we should only focus on one or two goals at a time.

One of the traps that people fall into frequently is overwhelming themeselves and be overly ambitious. Then instead of working towards your goal, you put off doing anything because it sounds like a chor or hard work.

With the 30-day goal, one of the best ways to keep on track, is to set small tasks throughout the month that get you closer to achieving your goals. Work backwards, what steps do you need to take to get to that big goal you are working towards?

Use what we talked about in the 7-day goal setting section. You can break the 30-day goals up into weekly tasks. Even scheduling the tasks on your calendar can ensure that the tasks happen and you don't have to worry about when it is going to happen.

You can even break it down even further! If you are one of those people (like me!) that needs a lot of structure and a helping hand, schedule daily tasks or reminders to look at your goal.

90-Day Goal:

Okay, it is time to tackle the biggest goal yet! Your 90-day goal!

When you first sit down and want to create your 90-day goal, brainstorm! Take all of the ideas that are in your head and write all of them on paper. Anything that you know will improve your life in business and in personal life.

From there, prioritize. Which goal are you going to focus on first? What is the goal that you want to achieve the most? With your 90-day goals you should still only have 2-3 goals to truly focus on. Keep your brainstorm list and whatever on that list you did not prioritize for the next 90-days, keep for the next round!

With 90-day goals, you need to make sure that you keep the goals manageable. People often think that with the longer time frame they can focus on a goal that is rather large. So, make sure that you reverse engineer your 90-day goals and you have enough time to complete all the necessary steps to achieve the goal with those 90 days.

Now before we go, don't forget...

  • Create action steps (As often as you think is necessary for you)
  • Devote time for yourself and your goal
  • Don’t only set the goal, make sure to schedule it
  • Celebrate all of the little wins!

Spending the time to focus on improving your business or your life will only enhance and supercharge everything around you. Let's go achieve those goals and create and life and business we have always wanted!
