Stress, anxiety, and burnout can take a toll on us in so many ways. Ways that we may not even be aware of.

Foggy brain. Cluttered mind. Unexsitant excitement. Insomnia. Overthinking. Negative self-talk...

The list is long.

Whether it is due to our financial situation, family or work-related issues or because of wellbeing and emotional health issues, we all experience the negative effects of stress and anxiety. Some almost on a daily basis.

The problem is these feelings only make our life harder than it already is. We enter a vicious circle where the hardships in our lives instill a feeling of anxiety and constant worry, which in return make it harder for us to process and resolve whatever that is going on in our lives.

Here are my three tips to make your life easier hopefully

1-Identify Your Sources Of Stress & Worry

And figure out a strategy to minimize them

Practicing self-awareness is a great way to both make your life easier and improve it for the better at the same time.

In this case, you have to learn to be present with yourself and within yourself, especially in those stressful moments.

A lot of times, what we do is pretend that everything is okay or, when facing a very stressful situation, we may go straight into action mode.

My little piece of advice is to take time to stop, take a step back and take 5 minutes to look at the situation.

Acknowledge your stress, your worry, and your fear. Accept it, then learn to identify similar situations that provoke the same feelings in you.

Ask yourself why?

I find that simply asking the question "why?" can make a huge difference in our lives.

Why do you get stressed in such situations? Why do you worry so?

Tackle the reason and the cause.

Once you learn to identify your triggers and their roots, you shall be more prepared next time to deal with them quickly and effectively before your emotions get all over the place

2-Have a clear idea about your values and your boundaries

This is, in my opinion, the best thing you can do for yourself. Not only to make your life easier but to make yourself more at peace, happy, and grounded.

Having defined values and boundaries is key also to stopping self-sabotaging.

Again, self-awareness and some introspection are very important for this step.

Sit down and reflect a bit. You could even grab a pen and paper and write it all down.

Remind yourself of your values in life. Dare to ask yourself questions and go back in time to your best and worst memories:

  • What is it that you are in no way willing to compromise on? -
  • What truly matters to you?
  • What are the attitudes and treatments that make you feel bad?
  • When do you feel the best? When do you feel the worst?

Once you really know what makes you tick, you're less likely to allow yourself to be put in that situation.

3-Practice Gratitude Everyday

It's amazing what a little gratitude practice can do for your life. Trust me on this.

Gratitude is linked to happiness according to Studies. Basically, the more you are thankful to God, the universe, or whatever it is that you believe in, the more you shall be happy and satisfied.

Gratitude is an important step in getting everything that you want because it raises your vibration and mood while focusing on the "lack" in your life only makes it harder for you to achieve your goal.

Just try it. Whether you write it down or like me, you practice it while taking your morning breath of fresh air next to the window, I promise you'll start feeling the shift inside you to a more peaceful mindset.

These three steps all focus on a bit of reflection which I believe is an essential part of self-care.

Your emotional and mental health, and your wellbeing are well worth 5 to 10 minutes a day.

You are worth it.

Hope these simple tips will make your life easier as they did mine!
