You walk along these streets that feel so familiar. What would look like people having a good time and being active, is actually a bunch of mindless zombies a slave to their phones without attention their peers. Social media and online entertainment has a way of grabbing you to their ecosystem. Sounds of guitars and soft melodies surround my ears as music play. Restless and reoccurring emotions rapidly break through the surface. You feel water drip down your face and you wonder why. You have seen this place before. These buildings with people who occupy them. You try to figure out the root of the problem, all that comes up are shame and unhappiness.

Not everyone is around to help you and you can't fought everyone who is unable to. We are our own people with our own lives. Sometimes when we fall deep into our own space of seclusion. Not just because its comfortable and easy to go to, but because when we try to reach out, we are left in silence, as if the space we are in was there all along. Some may be strong enough to weather the storm. Some have the tools to fight off the ghosts that haunt our minds. For someone like me, all there is, has become the thing that I try to overcome. The thing that I thought I had a hold on. The thing that always reminded me that the worst feeling is when you are by yourself alone with your thoughts.

You are not your thoughts, said everyone. Im not sure if letting these emotions are the best way to deal with them but channeling them through productive means seems like a good way to start. Superhero shows like dragon ball and superman channel the many  abilities through the emotions they share with their connections to them. The many transformations of Goku derived from the anger and intense emotions he holds within. When he releases them he controls each wave of emotions into single points which allow him to transform. Overtime his memories allow him to tap into these forms more easily, psychologically speaking. Superman on the other hand, already has his abilities and only grows by his environment.

Things like rage and intense need for protection narrows the focus to channel their abilities to do whatever needs to be done. Back in our land, keeping distractions and unsubtle activities helps to release some of the energies at play. What we don't really pay attention to actually is how we play the volleyball game. We bounce our emotions from side to side in order to keep things balanced so we don't rage into action. This volleyball of shame and constant self doubt is a game we don't need to play but we are always presented with it. Not really having a more permanent solution. Some are not prone to have long term emotional effects and some are all the time.

I suppose just by hitting the spikes and making the saves is enough for us to get by. We conclude our volleyball game with understanding the reason for the games in the first place. There may be alot of games where we battle these tough opponents. By the end of it, there is other people out there who will need our guidance from these experiences we share in order to help them get through it easier (and maybe earlier) than the times we go through them now. So it will get easier and we will get through this dark cycle because we are the chosen ones who have the power to make it through victorious.
