Spending Time Alone

Spend time alone often. Touch base with your soul.

Spending Time Alone

Is your day is filled with different responsibilities and duties, and some days it’s hard to get time for yourself? If so, this is for you.

“Time for myself? Ha, you’re crazy” is what a lot of y’all are probably thinking. I used to think the same way and I get it, it’s so easy to forget about yourself in daily rush and usually they’re things you can’t just not get done in your day or else you wouldn’t be taking care of responsibilities. I don’t want to sound like a NATZI but studies have been done that spending time alone can help improve your rest, enhance your creativity, you get more done, it can boost intimacy with God, freedom, and so much more. So I am basically telling you that making time for yourself should definitely be a priority.

In order to being able to truly start enjoying life and being successful starts with having a good relationship with yourself. Spending time with yourself, noticing your best parts, weaknesses, and flaws is a chance to see the light within and around, to move forward to what you really want out of life.

Here are some reasons i have learned throughout my life so far on why you should remember yourself and sometimes say “NO” to others and “YES” to yourself.

Have Faith

When you have spent time with yourself, filling your mind, body, and soul with positive energy, smiling, laughing, feeling grateful, and nourished your soul with outside time enjoying nature, building up the faith in yourself, in life, and in the universe will grow you. You will start to have faith that you can achieve anything, faith in your own ability in becoming success. Having faith makes anything and everything possible.

Love yourself.

This sounds like it should be an easy one but a lot of people don’t truly love themselves anymore. Loving yourself in your alone time is Giving yourself the best way of loving yourself. You’re basically gifting yourself in so many ways. Love within creates more love outside you and gives you what you want in the best way possible. Learning to love yourself in alone time will help you build not alone a better relationship with yourself but as well as with others.

Renew your energy.

Alone time obviously will help renew your inner energy, to recharge yourself. We all need some recharging or else we will crash and nobody wants that to happen. I don’t know about you but getting out of energy without recharging and renewing, is the worst kind of crash mentally and physically.

Connect with nature.

Spending time outside with and around nature, receiving and enjoying the harmony and oneness will fill yourself with pure energies. It helps you to balance your feelings and it cleanses your thoughts. Spending time with nature in my opinion for sure heals you. For me even if I am just sitting on my porch listening to the birds, it refreshes me in so many ways.

Notice your true feelings and get to know yourself better.

I have learned putting on different kinds of masks is like hiding your true being and not being honest to yourself and others. When spend time alone, you can notice your true feelings. Exhaustion, tiredness, stress, insecurity, and your happiness. Whatever it is, it is good to know them to be able to change within.

Set up new goals and see how to achieve them.

One of my favorite things to do in my alone time is setting up my goals and getting myself excited about achieving them. I think about my dreams and just create an outline on how to reach them. I make sure this time is a genuine reflection on what I really want in life and make it a plan with clear steps to achieve it.

Calm your mind.

Your mind can always be busy with duties, responsibilities, and worries. You stress about what to cook for dinner, being on time, planning your next day, and the list is endless so I will just stop with that, but when you are spending time alone, your thoughts are about how to make yourself happy or how to enjoy time and smile. All the worries and never-ending thoughts begin to disappear so you’re able to have a calm mind. When your mind thinks about all those things you can really enjoy doing them. You can create unusual solutions, you can admit that sometimes things resolve themselves, and the only thing you have to do is to let them be, to let them go and let the Universe deal with it. I used to hate the errands and all the pre planning but now when I use my time alone to think about it, I now truly enjoy the tasks and look at it in a whole different light.

Being alone and doing something for yourself is a great way to stop the daily rush. No matter what it is, having a nice cup of coffee, having a long walk somewhere, sitting on the bench in a park or on your porch and looking at the sun, fishing, cooking, whatever makes you feel happy and smile. Just take a pause of daily habits and give yourself the true gift of being alive. Every journey, no matter how long, always begins the same way, with a single step. You’ve already made two steps. You have read this blog and learned ways of how being alone can help you. The third step is putting everything you have gotten from this blog and applying it.
