Conor McGregor began his fighting career in 2008, and ever since he joined the UFC, he’s made waves that can’t go unnoticed.

He’s the ultimate competitor and one of the most captivating public speakers.

Opponents can try to scare him or have the last word, but they never do.

Conor exerts so much confidence, swagger, and wit that nothing anyone says can knock him down.

He is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight and lightweight champion. As of 25 January 2021, he is ranked #15 in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings and as of 24 December 2020, he is #6 in the UFC lightweight rankings (Wikipedia).

One of McGregor's favorite things is that after he loses a fight, he has top-class and respect for his opponents. Talking smack and getting people interested in a fight is part of the business, and no one does it better.

A Winner Focuses on The Goal

“Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.”

— Conor McGregor

What’s the point of working hard for something if you aren’t planning on being one of the best or on the winning side of history?

Mohammed Ali is one of McGregor’s biggest inspirations, and there’s no surprise why. Ali wanted to be the best, and he let everybody know.

McGregor has been the lightweight and featherweight champion, and those have been his clear goals ever since he joined the UFC.

Without goals of becoming a champion, there wouldn’t be anything to fight for other than pride — and that’s not enough to give 200% into anything.

He could care less about anyone who isn’t at the top. For that reason, he inspires millions to strive for greatness and never settle for second place.

There’s a Time and a Place for Everything

“I am cocky in prediction. I am confident in preparation. But I am always humble in victory or defeat.”

— Conor McGregor

In McGregor’s predictions, he will tell his opponents that he’ll absolutely crush them and that they’re not worth his time.

Sound familiar?

Other smack talkers include Richard Sherman and Mohammed Ali — athletes who will say anything to assert their dominance over their opponents and demoralize their confidence. ‘

McGregor has put massive amounts of time into his training and his diet plan when it comes to preparation. A lot of his success comes from plenty of discipline, a recipe for champions.

As for victory or defeat, McGregor is a class act. Once the fight is all said and done, he will praise his opponent for their efforts in losing to him or beating him.

No matter what, he’s humble. Humble behavior makes me a big fan of McGregor because not only is he entertaining, he’s respectable.

The Law of Attraction Takes You to Your Far

“My success isn’t the result of arrogance, it’s the result of belief.”

— Conor McGregor

One of the biggest keys to success is visualizing yourself succeeding at whatever it is you’re striving for.

McGregor has preached The Law of Attraction ever since he was coming up in the MMA world, and everything he’s visualized has come true.

His most valuable skill, though, is intangible. “My belief is my best asset, and I have a stronger mindset than my opponent” (Muscle and Fitness)

Your mindset is your biggest asset or a huge liability. You are in charge of your mind, no one else. It can be influenced, but at the end of the day, you are the one who decides what flows in and out.

Do you want success? Then set your mind to it, go out there, and accomplish what needs to be done.

Final Thought

McGregor has brought an overwhelming amount of excitement to the UFC, and it wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t so captivating with his words and great at backing up his talk.

Anyone can say they’re going to do something, but we all know that actions speak louder than words.

  • A true winner focuses on the goal and doesn’t lose sight of it until it’s achieved.
  • There’s a time, and a place for everything, and the biggest three parts are the prediction, the preparation, and the result.
  • The law of attraction is the key to getting anything you want in life because if you can visualize it, you increase the odds of it becoming a reality.
