Money isn't Everything, But Your Happiness is.
Your happiness matters more than the amount of money you make.
Living in a World Obsessed with Money
In the world we live in, it can be difficult not to focus solely on how much money you make. Is the job you're at contributing to your happiness or your stress? If your answer was stress, why are you staying? Is it because you can't afford bills without it? Or are you staying because you love getting a hefty paycheck and to you that is more important than your mental and emotional health?
Either way, what could you be doing for work that you would actually enjoy? Did you give up a dream job years ago because your inner circle told you it was impractical? A word of advice..., get a new inner circle. Find people who feed into your happiness instead of your stress. Anyone who tells you that you are being unrealistic probably tried and failed, so they gave up. That doesn't mean you won't succeed.
Success is Dependent on You
Here is a bit of a reality check for you. Your success is entirely dependent on you. Want to know why? You choose how much time you invest towards your success. It doesn't matter if you are pursuing your lifelong dream or if you are pursuing a career that you are simply okay with. In order to truly be successful, you have to put time and effort towards what you are working for. That means watching videos and researching more about how you can be successful. Learn from the best and transform your life. It truly depends on you.
Your mindset is also a huge factor. If you are doubting yourself for even just one second, it doesn't matter what your inner circle says. You own thoughts will cloud your judgment and prevent your success. Don't blame others for something that you prevented yourself from achieving.
Surround yourself with successful people. This puts you in a motivated mindset. If you haven't heard this, you tend to become the people that you hangout with. If you hangout with successful people, then it is possible if you listen to their direction, you will be able to achieve success.
Money isn't Everything
If you aren't happy with your life, what are you doing? Life is too short to work at a job you hate. However, only you can make a difference in your own life. No one else can submit applications or do certain tasks as well as you. You each contribute something that is unique. If you don't set goals, apply places you want to be, or even look at opportunities then you are practically committing to a life of unhappiness.
What are you afraid of? What harm is there in living life to the fullest? Start trying to work to live life, not live life to work. What kind of life is that? Have you considered that your happiness is important and this could be destroying it or taking a toll? Have you considered all the options?
Start thinking of goals that you can do that will help you achieve your happiness. Do you know how many people die earlier than they would have if they had just taken a leap of faith? You should really look up statistics for that, it is an interesting read.
The World is Full of Opportunities
There are opportunities everywhere for you to do the things you love to do. There are even jobs as video game designers. You can easily achieve a career that you will love if you put the time and effort in it. What are you waiting for? The sky's the limit and you can do this. You know what you are good at. I believe in you.
If you have people who are constantly bringing you down and telling you that you aren't being reasonable, those are the people to kindly excuse from your life. You don't need negativity when you are trying to move mountains with your goals. You need people who will encourage you and hold you accountable to meeting those goals. People who speak to you condensing do not have your best interest at heart. In fact, they probably are afraid of doing exactly what you are considering doing. Go out and get your dreams. Be Happy.
