Renewal is the key to a happy, healthy life. It's a time to reflect on the past year and set resolutions for the coming one. Here are a few tips to help you renew yourself:
1.Take some time for yourself.
This may be the most important step in renewal. Make sure you take some time to do something you love. Spend time with friends or eat out at your favorite restaurant. If you have the money, go on a vacation or getaway weekend by yourself or with family and friends. Sometimes renewal can be found in helping others—consider volunteering for an organization that interests you.
2. Look after your body
This includes exercise, a healthy diet, and plenty of sleep. When you feel good physically, it's easier to feel good mentally and emotionally as well.
3. Make new year's resolutions
What do you want to achieve in the coming year? Make a list of resolutions or goals, and then break them down into small, achievable steps. Be sure to make some for your personal life (e.g., spending more time with family) and some for your career or work life (e.g., getting promoted). You may want to consult a career coach or an employment counselor on how best to achieve these goals through networking, training programs, etc.
4.Make a plan
This is where the smaller steps you set for your resolutions come in handy. Once you have your goals, it's important to create a plan on how you're going to achieve them. This may require some research and/or outside help.
5. Stick to it!
This is easier said than done, but if you keep trying, eventually you will feel better. Nothing comes easily; you need to remember this. Nothing good ever comes easily, anyway.
6. It Won't Happen Overnight
Self-renewal takes time; it won't happen overnight. If you consider this, you will take your time to implement the necessary steps to achieve your goals and make the most of the life you have now.
7.Write it down
Write the things you want to change down on a piece of paper or in a journal. Write them down and cross out the things you simply cannot change. Then focus on the things you can change and tackle them one at a time. It is quite easy to try and do all the things at once, but it's actually not possible to achieve everything at the same time. Therefore, the best thing that you can do for yourself is to focus on achieving small things.
Example:
You want to make more money. You are currently making $2000 per month online. You want to increase that to $5000 a month instead. What can you do? Find opportunities that can help you increase your income by an extra $500 next month. Keep adding an extra $500 per month every month until you achieve your goal of earning $5000 in a single month.
Don't lose sight of your goal, but don't focus on it either. Just focus on making an extra $125 per week. When you divide $125 by five working days, you get $15.63. What can you do to earn an extra $15.63 per day? You write one more article and take on one more freelance contract for the month. There are lots of things you can do. You can sell one item on eBay per day. Don't overcomplicate things. Making extra money is certainly not as difficult as you think it is.
Keep it simple and work on one goal at a time.
Renewal and achieving goals doesn't happen in a day—it takes time and commitment to see changes in your life. Don't give up after the first few tries!
