If we want to stop procrastination it will come to us whether we want it or not. There is no magical formula to stop procrastination other than to tell people not to listen to self pityful excuses from themselves. We have tried this and tried that and yet we keep on procrastinating and the damage is done. If we really want to stop procrastinating we need to understand the nature of procrastination and why we procrastinate.

Procrastination is a habit that everyone procrastinates from time to time because of lack of knowledge, lack of knowledge can come from no knowledge, from a low level of knowledge, from a lack of education.

There are certain reasons why people procrastinate. There is the fear of the consequences, lack of courage, lack of knowledge of the consequences, lack of courage to face the consequences, fear of failure, fear of the failure or the embarrassment. There is also the fear of rejection, lack of confidence. There are so many reasons why we procrastinate but let's keep it simple and discuss only the top three reasons why people procrastinate.

The top three reasons why people procrastinate are listed below. You now have a blank document that you can fill in and use as your mission statement. Write down your mission statement and use it as your goal to reach today.

Your top three reasons why you procrastinate are my below.

1. Fear of Failure: Be objective as you can be objective about your skills. There are no free lunches, whatever you do for a living will have to be fair. What matters is to know that what you do is not subject to failure. And that is what will help you reach success. Be honest in your work, be objective and fair in your skill.

2. Fear of embarrassment: The embarrassment of not getting things done, the embarrassment of not being able to complete something in time is also a very real thing. So make sure that you are not subject to embarrassment. People will not understand that you procrastinate.

3. Lack of Competence: Do not take for granted all the things that you have not achieved. It is neither good nor bad that you do not know the rules of the game, the other players in the game. It is good that you know the rules of the game so that you are not disadvantaged. So make a goal to master the game, find out more about the game and so become better in your field.

Now write down your other top three reasons why you procrastinate.

1. Lack of Knowledge: Lack of knowledge of the field, the field of expertise, knowledge of the rules of the game does not mean that you are dumb. It is a good thing if you do not lack knowledge, if you do not lack knowledge you are free to learn. So be free to learn and seek out different ways of learning and make your field more extensive by learning new things.

2. Fear of embarrassment: The fear of being exposed, the fear of being embarrassed also just means that you are afraid of the consequence of failure. If you are afraid of the consequence of failure, you need to take action and start doing what you need to do to get rid of this fear of failure. So, take action, make a goal to master a particular field and go for it with full courage and commitment.

3. Procrastination: Procrastination also means fear of failure and if you procrastinate for too long, the fear of failure will keep you stuck in your current field and even it will keep you from your field of specialization. So, even when you are stuck in a field, you need to be free to change your field of specialization and do something else. And even if you are free to change your field of specialization, you still need to do something else in your field. So think about your fields, find out what is preventing you from moving forward. Decide what you need to do to get rid of this fear of failure and procrastination and take action.
