How to be productive? First of all, we need to know what productivity is. Based on definition from Oxford Languages productivity means the effectiveness of productive effort. In terms of daily life, being productive could be define as to use our time wisely. Being productive in a day will prevent us to keep laying on our bed with a negative thoughts. I promise that being productive will give you a lot of benefits. Some of the benefits are:

  1. Helps you to become more creative
  2. Improve your mood
  3. Better time management

So, how to be productive? How to begin with? Let's focus on how to apply this concept to our daily lives. Here are five tips to boost your productivity:

1. Set a goal

"Set a goal that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning."

Setting a goal will make sure you know what to be achieved. It does not have to be a huge, life changing goal. But, it is just a small change to make your life better.

For example, a goal as simple as to wake up earlier in the morning. This goal might seems not really helps to become a whole new person. But, still, you have no idea how this simple goal can helps you. By waking up earlier, you will have more time in preparing yourself for an amazing day. This could help you to stay active for the day.

2. Set up your plan

"A goal without a plan is just a wish."

Sometimes, people like to just go with the flow. But, a simple plan might helps a lot. Especially, when you have no idea on how to start day. Make your own plan and strategy to keep you on track. Ask yourself about what are you trying to achieve or just refer back to your goal.

Next, start to look on your own life. Meaning that, your plan have need to based on your own situation. Try to observe on how you could achieve that goal by your own way.

3. Do not expect for perfection

"Perfection is God's business. We are human."

When things did not work out really fine, accept it with an open heart. Bear in mind that there is no one exact way to do a work. It is okay to make a mistake. Find the solution and keep improving yourself because at least, you are not stucking in the same place, right?

4. Know when to stop

"Do not rush through life, pause and enjoy it."

Please, take a pause! If not, you will burnt out. That is the worst situation ever. You cannot even do your work properly without a pause. Keep reminding yourself that being productive does not mean to work 24/7. Take a pause and make sure to come back after re-energised yourself.

5. Do not lose hope

"Just because things are bad now doesn't mean they're going to be that way forever."

This is very important. Never, ever, lose hope. It is okay and absolutely normal if things did not work out as you planned. The key is to keep trying and hoping for the best that you can do. You do not have to give up immediately if you failed. Instead, it will help you to set up a better plan!

Those are five tips that may help your life to become more productive. Basically, it is just to believe in yourself. Believe that you are the one who can controls your life. You are responsible for your own happiness. So, what are you waiting for? Go and get a pen, a piece of paper or whatever things to start planning your life. Good luck!
