CHANGE YOUR PROGRAM

Have you ever stopped to think why you do what you do? Have you ever found yourself daydreaming, while driving, only to discover that you are now sitting in your driveway? Your mind is the most powerful thing known to man. The human mind is the most mysterious part of who we are. Philosophers, doctors, scientists, psychologists, have all debated as to the intricacies and function of this amazing phenomenon called “mind”. What we do know for sure is that the conscious mind is only able to process about 40 bits of information per second as opposed to the sun-conscious mind which is believed to be able to process about 20, 000, 000 bits per second. Although these numbers are debated amongst scientists what remains is the fact that the subconscious mind is exponentially more powerful than the conscious mind. This is how you can perform complicated tasks without even “consciously” thinking about it. This is how your heart can beat and your cells divide without any conscious effort on your part. It’s simply amazing!

Here we are with this amazing mind that most of us have no real idea as to how we can use it. The subconscious mind is often referred to as the “habit” mind. If you think about it, you learn many of your day to day activities of daily life through repetition. After a while you no longer must think about it because it has become part of a “program”. This is where it becomes interesting. It has been said that about 96% of the thoughts that we think daily are the same thoughts that we have thought the day before. This means that we are living a program that our subconscious mind is directing, and we are playing out in our daily life. So, to put it simple in order to live a life that is different from what you have been living you have to create and play a different program. This is easier said than done because your subconscious mind is the “habit” mind and is resistant of anything that is contradictory to the dominant program. Once you understand how this aspect of your mind works you can be in control of what your life looks like. You can only do this once you begin to tell a different story!

In my own personal life I began this new process about a year ago and I can honestly say that I ca n, literally, see the difference that it has made in the trajectory of my life.

• Ask yourself daily: WHAT DO I WANT?

The subconscious mind always seeks to answer questions that you pose towards it. Sit with a piece of paper every morning and every night before you go to bed and ask yourself this question. You may find in the beginning that your mind draws a blank. But that’s the whole point. You are challenging the set program and taking conscious control.

• Describe what you want in great detail.. What does it look like, what does it sound like, what will the food taste like, what color will the house be, car be, etc… The more detail you give it the more your subconscious mind will seek to bring this into your reality.

• Only talk to those who are supportive about your dreams! However well meaning, most people are negative, by nature. They simply cannot help it. Most of the people on the planet are living mundane lives and are simply following the program. If you talk to them about bucking that program, they are likely not to understand. Anyone who tells you they think you cannot do it, etc… Stay Away!

• ACT AS IF…

You literally must become that person that you see yourself as. If you desire to be a great writer, then act as such; wake up every day and write. If you desire to become an entrepreneur, then research the great business people that you admire and mirror them.

All these steps are essential in the process of changing the program of your life. I will not tell you that this is easy. It requires your complete focus and dedication to yourself! There will be those who will not understand what you are doing but you must persist. In time people will begin to see how your life is//changing and transforming and they will ask; “What is it that you are doing differently?”
