Can You Really Live a Carefree Life?

If you want to have a good life, is it possible to make it carefree?

When I was younger, I wanted to live a carefree life.

I assumed that the perfect life would be one free of worries, anxieties, and all stresses. I wouldn't feel so much pressure. I wouldn't feel so goddamn sad all the time.

Carefree = GOALS.

As I'm getting older though, I'm realizing something that is very important... I don't think that it's possible to have a carefree life.

I don't think life exists without worry.

Think about all of the people who's lives you admire. Your role models.

It's not that their lives exist without worry. It's that they either know how to deal with these emotions appropriately or that they're good at hiding them. Or sometimes, in the case of powerful people, they have people that deal with these emotions for them.

If you're dead-set on living a carefree life that is absolutely perfect and pleasant, you need to learn one lesson. Learn it now and learn it good:

ANYTHING worth having in life requires effort.

Anyone who has something good has had to go through something bad in order to get it. No, I'm not saying they committed a crime. I'm saying that if you're successful, I can absolutely guarantee that you've had some sort of failure in your life. You still feel negative emotions, despite being successful.

You're going to need to learn that life is fucking hard and we literally can't avoid that. If you want to have a life worth living, it's going to be hard.

Life is constantly challenging us. Constantly. Instead of seeing these challenges as big obstacles that will get in our way, we need to see the challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. We need to see these challenges as opportunities to make our lives awesome, instead of seeing these challenges and thinking you're being punished.

And you're definitely not the only one who does it. I can admit that I do it all the time. How many times have you said, "I don't deserve this" when something bad happened?

Of course we don't deserve it.

I don't think anyone deserves to have bad things happen to them, no matter how bad they are. I think they should get an opportunity to learn their lesson.

So instead of sitting in your pity and thinking, why me? - think about the fact that you're being offered a chance to learn something new here. This lesson could be big or small. It could be crucial to your life or only a little bit important. Either way, it's relevant.

I'm sorry to be the one that tells you that you will never be able to find a carefree life, because a carefree life just does not exist.

You can live your life in a carefree way, which would mean that when you have bad things happen to you, you don't let it ruin your life. You take the hit and move forward.

Let's give you an example.

Let's say your boyfriend breaks up with you.

Of course, it's a hit. Of course, you didn't deserve it. Who does? But if you have a carefree mindset, you realize that this isn't something that should ruin your life.

You can be sad and grieve your relationship, but you don't need to sit in this feeling forever. You take your time and then move on from it, realizing that you've got a chance at a new lease on life. You get to experience a whole new part of life now - being single.

Do you see how with a carefree mindset you can turn any challenge into an opportunity to grow and learn?

Don't try so hard to live a carefree life, something that just doesn't exist. Try to live with a carefree mindset, so that when bad things happen, you can move forward easier and realize that not everything is personal.
