Ways to get inspired

I don't know if it's because he has been doing his job for too long, but every day after going to work, he would come to his desk and start his day.

But after working for a while, he would start to get tired, and even start to feel that his head had stiffened, and he could not think of better ideas at all.

Sometimes he often sat there staring at the computer screen, but no matter how hard he tried, it was difficult to have new ideas come out of his mind.

It should be said that many of the current workers will encounter this situation.

After a period of work, it seems that the flexibility of the brain is gradually decreasing.

Sometimes even if you encounter some very simple problems, it seems that the brain can not turn around.

So when you feel that your work is difficult to carry out, or that the head mind is not quite enough, there is no way to make the brain flexible again?

There is a way, and it is also very simple.

That is, it may be worth getting up and walking.

Suddenly, it sounds like it's as non-nutritious as telling you to drink more hot water.

It is not. It is simple but useful.

Have you ever noticed that there are times when you are sitting there and can't think of a new solution anyway?

Once you stand up and go to pour yourself a cup of coffee, it seems that suddenly your mind is clear and inspiration comes in all of a sudden.

This situation is not a coincidence, nor is it your imagination, there is a real basis.

When we change the space we are in, it will stimulate the activity of place neurons in the brain.

In turn, further increase the vitality of the hippocampus, so that brain function can be restored.

So if you move around and change the space you are in, it can have a similar effect.

When you feel that your mind is frozen and you can't think of any new ideas, get away from your desk and walk around a bit.

You don't have to go far, but by changing your place through exercise like walking, you can change your mood and restore your brain's ability.

You can go to the bathroom, pour a cup of coffee in the restroom, or go to a vending machine and buy a drink.

It's not far away, but when you come back from a stroll, your mind will feel as if it's much lighter.

Some people will even take the initiative to change the place where they work.

There is a writer, who always writes in the cafe, but after working for three hours, he will start to feel tired, attention began to be less focused.

Then this time he will go to a new cafe again, to a new store, unfamiliar environment, so that he is fresh and curious, focused and efficient at once.

Of course, this method does not work well for us at work.

But we can still choose to leave their desks, borrow conference rooms to work, as well as change the office environment.

Southwest Airlines headquarters has dozens of conference rooms, and each one has a different interior.

So when the team has a meeting, it's likely to take place in a different conference room.

This effectively encourages place neurons to be active, the brain becomes more flexible, and more good ideas pop up during the meeting.

So, when you feel like you can't work at your desk, take your computer with you and move to a different place.

Even if your company has only one conference room, then you can choose to have a different seat in the conference room.

A different seat means a different perspective, and you will see a different view.

As long as the view in front of you has changed, but it will stimulate your place neurons.

So the next time you feel tired, try this method.
