We all have those days when we wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

Days where we have low morale.

Not feeling our best. Feeling down and blue.

On other days we may feel ugly and unworthy. We look at ourselves in the mirror and feel we lost the little spark in our eyes. To help you through these difficult days, here are 10 positive thoughts to feel (more) beautiful and good about yourself.

1. Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself

Reflection: When we try to be another person, when we try to please everyone, or when we forget ourselves too much, our true beauty does not show.

What shows up instead is unauthenticity, low self-esteem, and discomfort.

Because we're never as comfortable and confident as when we are ourselves.

In faking being what we are not, we are always tense, under the pressure that someone will point out that we're imposters.

2. Beauty has nothing to do with perfection. It’s more about celebrating our individuality

This reinforces the previous reflection.

Reflection: If we were all the same, what would make us beautiful?

Think about it. What makes worth your time, to go shop for different clothes, try different recipes, and visit different places?

Isn't it precisely their uniqueness?

It's the same thing for human beings, to be beautiful is not to look like your neighbor, that famous influencer, the latest Hollywood star, or your colleague. No, it's being yourself and being well in your mind and your skin.

3. If the world was blind, who would you impress?

What if everyone was blind? What if you had a date with a blind person? How would you try to impress them?

Reflection: True beauty is not always seen. It is felt. It is seen with the heart. It is interior. And it's this kind of beauty that is everlasting.

Mark Twain said it brilliantly: "Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see."

4. Happy women are the most beautiful

Reflection: When we feel good, we feel more beautiful. Nope?

"She is the heart of the party".

How often did you hear this said about someone not "classically" beautiful. Getting all the praise and the love

It's true though.

Happiness makes people shine from the inside out. It makes them relaxed and looking at peace with themselves, and that's why it makes it pleasing for others to be around them. That's why you have to take care of yourself...Of your moods, your vibe, your emotional health.

Trust me it'll be way more beneficial than all the cosmetics in the world.

5. Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than when she thinks she is

Confidence!!

Reflection: Feeling beautiful because we put on our favorite pair of shoes, because we're wearing jewelry that has sentimental value, or because we've put on our favorite girly lingerie underneath our sweater makes us feel brighter.

6. Faults are a matter of perception and perspective

Reflection: Of course we have faults. We would like to be taller, see these little wrinkles disappear, have longer eyelashes, etc. But what do our little faults matter: remember faults are very subjective. It's a matter of perspective. What we may consider as faults may be advantages and qualities in the eyes of other people so instead of fighting against them, it is better to accept and embrace them.

7. A woman is always more beautiful when she smiles

Reflection: A smile is the most beautiful weapon and it is the most effective makeup. Even the most fantastic of dresses will never look as spectacular as on a woman who loves herself and smiles.

8. The most beautiful makeup is passion

Reflection: What makes you vibrate? Glow and seem full of life? You have to find it and above all devote time to it. Because by being passionate, we are more radiant… more beautiful!

Next time you feel like beating yourself up for not being enough, or being ugly and unworthy, I hope you shall remind yourself of these reflections!
