5 ways to utilize this time inside during lockdown because of "Covid 19."

1.)Use this time to consider yourself...

With the fast pace society we live in today, most barely catch a breath let alone have the chance to sit and reflect before they are racing back to work for the week ahead. Use this time as if you asked for it by kicking those feet up clearing your mind and enjoying some time to allow your thoughts space to flow without trying to stop or start them. This can help you feel more connected with your own lifestyle choices and how well you feel they truly serve you. Maybe you are not happy as you once were at the job you are at, have you neglected your true nature or worse focused on financial obligations before your true obligations to that which you love such as family connection, friend's, your animals or the relationship with your spouse. Make room for what you have neglected to receive the attention and focus by making the most of the time away from work. You might be thanking heaven later for the chance given for you to remember what is important to you and why.

2.) Remember to breathe

It's important to remember to breathe when you feel the Panic of worry set in no matter when it hits or where and why. You can use breathing exercises in order to do this. One that personally worked for me the best was an exercise I was taught at a counseling session I went to in 2019 during which I was having a very bad panic attack. My counselor told me that I can do this exercise anytime I feel panicky also that it regulates the heartbeat stabilizing the nervous system which relaxes you as a result. The exercise is really simple first we'll start by inhaling for 4 seconds holding that breath for 4 seconds and then exhaling for 4 seconds repeating until the anxiety has subsided.

3.)Use this time to find a new hobby or restart an old hobby.

Is there something that you once loved that you weren't able to do because you couldn't find the time? You should consider inviting family that's in the household to join you, maybe teach them some about your interest or you could also learn a few things from them as well. Whether it is Painting, music, or writing you can use this opportunity to dive into your own personal expression's of self  as well as use this opportunity to develop and connect with your family.

4.) Cook meals and eat them at the table without any devices.

Reconnect with family and discuss each other's views and opinions learning about each other while eating dinner at the table together. To utilize this time spent together the best do not allow any devices at the table. Let one person in the family choose the playlist for that evening meal each day of the week so you can learn a little bit about each person's taste in music and Explore new territory in your own musical world.

5.) Exercise.

Stay active and moving. Whether it's yoga, sports, or

Pilates Find at least 20 minutes a day to exercise. It's possible find a room with plenty of sunlight to prevent or delay the madness commonly referred to as "Cabin Fever" from setting in.

By applying each of the 5 ideas above you will increase the power of positive thinking and the action that follows making a bad situation just a little more purposeful. Use this time to spend your time the way you have always wanted to. Honor yourself and until next time I wish you all of the best.
