1) Start Early in the Morning

The early bird might get the worm, but for most of us, setting an early start time is a way to make sure you have your priorities in order. When we rush through our morning routines.

It’s easy to toss out whatever doesn’t seem urgent or important enough to do at that exact moment. But starting early helps reduce your hurry up and wait for syndrome by allowing you to stick with one thing at a time.

This is perfect for goal-oriented activities such as exercise and meditation, which can help you feel better prepared for everything else on your plate. As they say, slow and steady wins the race!

Are you one of those people who wakes up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle your day? If so, lucky you. For those of us that don’t feel like that, a great way to ensure you’re getting started on time each morning is by going to bed early.

Studies have shown that in order for your body to repair itself and function optimally, it needs 7–8 hours of sleep every night. Early to bed, early to rise. The more productive you are during your waking hours.

And less time you spend doing mundane tasks (like checking Facebook), means you’ll have more time to spend on activities that make you feel successful. Who doesn’t want that?

2) Working out

Working out gives you energy and helps you stay focused. If working out is already part of your routine, great! Just remember to spend at least an hour a day on productive work tasks.

A 2013 study published in Social Psychological and Personality Science found that people can only focus for 55 minutes at a time before they begin to daydream and get distracted.

If you’re prone to distraction, try to schedule non-work-related tasks for later in your day.

Working late into the night? Try meditating or journaling to clear your mind instead of checking Facebook or watching TV. The new routine will be healthy for both your body and mind — and might even help you sleep better too!

The first thing on successful people’s schedules is exercise. Whether you wake up early in order to work out before work or find time for it at night, getting your body moving is an important part of being productive.

Some people swear by it; others say it doesn’t help. But one thing is for sure: if you want to become successful, fitness should be part of your lifestyle. Whether that means walking 30 minutes a day or going through CrossFit training.

Starting an exercise routine is an easy way to fit more positivity into your life. And doing something active and being present in each moment is all about harnessing focus, which leads us to our next point…

3) Reading books

The best way to become successful is to learn something new every day. It can be as simple as learning a word in a new language or discovering how to do something quicker and more efficiently.

Keeping your mind active will help keep you engaged in your work, which is an important step toward career success. The key is just to keep learning and don’t let yourself get stagnant!

That’s right: successful people read books. In fact, many of them spend an hour or more a day reading — and that doesn’t count time spent on social media or watching TV.

Why? Because when you focus solely on content that is directly relevant to your goals, everything you do gets better. Reading forces you to learn new words and concepts, which means your writing improves.

It also exposes you to different viewpoints and trains your brain to think critically about issues in a non-academic way. Plus, it can be just plain fun!

successful people know that a great way to spend time is by reading. Consider reading as an opportunity to open your mind and learn from those who came before you.

Learn about their struggles, their methods for overcoming challenges, and how they managed to succeed where others have failed. There’s a book out there that can teach you how to achieve success — why not find it?

4) Learning something new every day

Sometimes all it takes to be successful is a little motivation and dedication. One of my favorite ways to stay motivated is by learning something new every day.

I check at least one news source, listen to an audiobook, or do an online lesson each day. It doesn’t take long for that information and inspiration to add up!

It’s easy to feel like there aren’t enough hours in a day when you want to accomplish everything. But if you learn something new every day, at least one thing will be checked off your list.

A new language. Playing an instrument. Learning how to cook or sew or do yoga. If it interests you, there are tons of resources online that can help get you started.

Just search for [any subject] tutorials and see what pops up! Being curious is one of life’s greatest pleasures; challenge yourself to learn something different every day, even if it means staying up late so that you can spend time doing it before going to bed. It’ll change your outlook on life for sure!

Our lives should always be a journey of learning, but it’s easy to get stuck in ruts that don’t challenge us or make us excited.

5) Going on adventures

Working out regularly is a great way to relieve stress and increase energy levels. In addition, fitness gives your body some much-needed time to work through any lingering tension, which will improve your sleep.

Sleep: As in most areas of life, quality trumps quantity when it comes to sleep. Remember that your body heals while you sleep.

Take time away from work: If it’s possible, taking one day per week off from work can refresh both your mind and body as well as make you more productive on Monday morning.

Meditation or yoga: Practicing either of these activities can help reduce stress and develop greater clarity when making decisions at work or in other areas of life.

According to psychologists and philosophers, happy life is one that contains adventure. Adventure can mean different things to different people — in some cases, it’s taking off on a road trip with no destination in mind, while in others it’s climbing mountains or traveling to far-off countries.

However you define adventure, living an adventurous life gives you a sense of purpose and meaning; if nothing else, every journey teaches us something about ourselves.

If you want to be successful, you’ve got to make time for new adventures. Whether it’s a new place or activity, get out there and explore!
