"I can do anything if I put my mind to it!" This is a true statement, but it doesn't always feel like it. When the world seems to be moving in a forward motion for everyone else and you feel like you are at a stand still; even though you have tried every maneuver to get on track. You some how seem to lose grip of the rails and can't stay on the path you were hoping to go on. You start to lose the motivation and the," can do attitude." You mustn't let the few obstacles obstruct you from living your life to the fullest. When you see a barrier in between you and the path you wanted to take, you must remember that it isn't permanent. You have to remember everyone crawls before they can even walk. If you feel like your life is of a lesser value due to the circumstances that keep you from gaining your goals, these five steps to understanding your valuable should help you maneuver through each obstacle obstructing your success.

Step #1: Be Patient With Yourself

We all have a tendency to over calculate our abilities. When we stumble we automatically believe we are without value. If you think about every time your favorite sports team didn't win the game, or the time your favorite actor didn't receive best role in that film you loved. They didn't give up on the team for the next game, and that actor is still acting, right? Yes! they kept going, and you know how they achieved the abilities to keep going? They were patient with themselves. They all know that they won't always get it right the first time. Patience requires you to accept failed attempts at the things that you hope to achieve. I'm pretty sure they eventually all went on and achieved their goals. You may not know how many times it takes to fail before you achieve your desired goals, and that's okay! You have to take a few falls before you get it right. It isn't very common for anyone to get it on the first try. No one is ever completely knowing of the out comes of an attempted success, and that is where patience comes in. In order to over come an obstacle you have to have tried to find the right way to get through. It is never easy and you will have days where you feel worn out from trying. These reactions to not obtaining the goal you want are natural, but these things don't define your value in this life. The way to understanding your value to this life digs deeper than your achievements hanging on the wall of your office. Have patience with yourself because you haven't failed, you may just not be ready yet to achieve all you want right now.

Step #2: Life Isn't A Race

I know it can feel like life is a race because you want to achieve your hearts deepest desire, now! There is plenty of time to get to the finish line. We live in a world of hustle and bustle, and we live in the mindset of being in first place. This world can definitely be a challenge, especially when we see all the things others have and, " how can I compete with that?" type of lifestyles. Even though we want to live like the next Jim or Jane, we just can't. This is where your value comes in, you are going to be okay when you realize life is not a competition. Your individuality is what gives you a place here on this planet. You are just as important as the people you believe are ahead of the curve. You are not in last place, you are you; an individual who has been ahead of the curve all along, because this is your place in your race. No one else gets to start your journey in this life and that means no one gets to live it. Pace yourself, you'll make it to the finish line, but stay on your side of the course, this is your time to shine.

Step #3: Dance To Your Rhythm

When you see others achieving their dreams, remember they found their song. We all want similar things in life, but it doesn't mean it is exactly the same pitch. The sound of your soul rings in a different frequency than even your closest companion. We all have a different view of the way we want life to be. We all march in our own shoes. You can understand your value in this world by staying attuned to your own insights. You can receive your frequency with a meditation practice called, "Mindfulness." When attempting being mindful you must sit still in the silence of just your breath and inner sight. Mindfulness is taking a peak at your soul and how it resonates with the world around it. Are you able to recognize your heart beat? How about the way the air feels on your face? Can you see the surface you are sitting on with your eyes fully closed? If you were able to find these things, then you have just found the rhythm at which your soul moves. You can see the things that are not apparently visible because you listened to your self for a moment. To dance to someone else's tune is to not see your own song. You are valuable most definitely for your own reasons that must not be tried by others input.

Step #4: Take Time To Reflect

It is easy to assume that you have to face everything now to achieve your version of success. In fact it's almost inevitable that you are already tackling the first step! You live on a daily routine of negative setbacks and absolute upsets, all because your not where you imagined you'd be by now. You have been hurting yourself on this journey to achieving your highest goals. You just wish something good would happen already, right? Well there are good things happening on your personal journey that you have been accomplishing. You may not see it just yet, but you are getting closer every day. You are experiencing growth. When you look back at your day, week, month, or even year etc... don't you see the change, the positive outcomes? Even if you haven't seen it, you have so many things to be proud of. You had to of taken steps at one point or another. Did you make it out of bed today? and if you didn't that's okay because you may have needed the rest. We all need days to rest our minds. These things we believe are set backs usually are not setbacks at all. Instead we must visualize the days we do less as one of the most important parts in our journey in life. Things that happen in a way that we haven't planned for aren't setbacks, because unplanned events are part of the growth. You are just as much valuable on the day you struggled, as you were on the days you were able to keep it going. Remember the days when you were a child, did you worry about tomorrow? Usually if you did it was because of something exciting. So live this day as a day of no worries, but a day to be excited for the tomorrow you can gift yourself. You are an amazing spirit in this world, and you have to realize you aren't alone in feeling upset when you don't meet your expected out comes. The world is full of good and bad days, except there aren't any true bad days, just days that didn't go according to plan. The good days are just what you believed to be good days.

Step #5: Relax, Slow Down, & Don't Give Up

You have a right to see that you make a difference in this world. You have a valuable place on this earth. On days that you see yourself as insurmountably significant, remember to focus on who you are. What are your values? You are you not some one else. You march to your own rhythm. You just need to remember you are an accomplished individual. You can't give up now, you have just now propelled yourself further into a journey that is significantly yours. No one in the world is just like you and that is a very wonderful feat to have. You don't have to go all in on the path that you choose, take it one step at a time. You do know Rome wasn't built in a day, show yourself some compassion. Be happy, you are on the right path, the path is genuinely yours to follow.
