Motivation will not stick with you forever, it doesn’t last. But there are countless ways you can get motivated from.

Basically, there are two types of motivation:

  • Internal Motivation
  • External Motivation

Internal motivation is when you are motivated from within when you don’t need any external material or non-material matter to motivate you. That’s what we call internal motivation or self-motivated person.

And external motivation is when you are motivated by external sources. Sometimes it’s your own life situations, sometimes it’s from another person, sometimes your haters or rejection can play a big role in your motivation.

Whether it’s internal or external motivation, the truth is motivation is not going to stick with you. You need to nourish and keep your motivation alive.

Luckily, we have found some ways that not just head you through your motivation, but also can make your motivational bond more strong.

1- Have Powerful Reason (Why)

One of the greatest ways you can use and people are using from thousands of years is, Remind Yourself of your Why, for what, or for whom you started this thing.

This method of realizing your core reason why you thought you must be at that stage, works super well. And even people are using this method to stay motivated or to motivate someone else from the pre-historic era.

Probably you have seen the situation where one person is giving hope to another by telling them why you started or why you are here.

Let’s take a school teacher for instance. They always use this method to motivate their students. They always remind their students that they have to dream big and perform better not just for themselves but for their family and for their parents.

You can also use this method for understanding your real why. Understand, why you have started, why you want that much money, or that car, why you want to influence that many people. Why do you want to achieve freedom and live the best possible life?

Understand your reasons why and write it down. And whenever you felt you are losing your motivation, take a break and become fully aware and remind yourself of your why and where you are going.

2- Achieve Something Everyday

It sounds too hard to achieve something in life and achieving something might be impossible but the truth is it’s too easy. And I’m going to show you how you can achieve something regularly.

Suppose you have a goal to make 1 million dollars in 2 years. And it’s true that you cannot achieve it the next day. But you can break it down into the smaller mini-goals that you can achieve.

In 2 years you need $1000k, in 1 year you will need $500k, in 6 months you will need $250k, in 3 months you will need $125k, in 1 month you will need $41.6k, in 1 week you will need $10.4k, in 1 day you will need $1400 to achieve one million in the next two years. And figure out how you are going to achieve your daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals.

Step-by-Step you get ahead. Breaking your biggest goal into smaller mini-goals will make it a lot easier to achieve and whenever you complete a smaller daily step it will make you feel better and you will remain positive and motivated.

3- Energize Yourself

Sometimes lack of energy can cause a lack of consistency and eventually it can be the reason for losing your motivation. Treat your mind and body in a proper and consistent way.

You cannot make better decisions and your work performance will also be going to lose if your mind is tired. Take your sleep well. eat well, exercise, and try to meditate on a regular basis.

4- Use Inspiring Content

Sometimes it becomes really tough to fuel your inner motivation without any external thought or source. That’s why it’s so important to engage with inspiring content that gives you a goosebump and makes you motivated to achieve your dreams.

Listen to inspiring audios, music, songs, watch video content that makes you motivated, Read Quotes, and inspiring life stories to boost your inner motivation.

5- Avoid Burnouts And Stay Positive

In the process of achieving your goals, there might be some points where you just feel distracted, miserable, burnout.

But these all things are okay. You can feel bad, stuck, or undefined but always seek positivity in every moment.

In every long journey, there will come some dark tunnels but some people are afraid of dark tunnels and they will step back, but some people will be patient and go throw the dark tunnel. I always say that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

When you are facing a really bad day, when you are in the moments of the block, when everything is going wrong with you, just stay positive and remind yourself that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Conclusion

Motivation is totally dependent on your point of view about your situation. Like I said before, some people lost their everything and lose their hope when they have peer pressure and some people use that pressure as fuel for their motivation. Most people get motivated by their haters but still, a lot of people lose their motivation just because they have haters.

It’s totally up to you how you respond to your situation. Whether you choose to stay motivated or distracted, the choice is yours.
