2018 Engagement Ring Trends

Everywhere you look people are becoming more and more adventurous with their style which includes their taste in rings. And now thanks to Pinterest, you can literally find your dream ring within seconds (not going to lie, Pinterest actually helped me write this post—thanks Pinterest!).

Essentially what I’m getting at here is that today people are opting in for more unique, colorful, and affordable options for engagement rings. I mean, who can blame them? Engagement rings nowadays are simply amazing.

Below you'll find ten of the top engagement ring trends we expect to hold strong for the duration of 2018 and even the beginning of 2019:

First on our list is the accented ring trend, otherwise known as the micropave ring. It’s kind of like Cinderella with a modern day twist. These rings are ideal for any princess to be.

Asymmetrical engagement rings offer a nontraditional twist on the typical engagement ring with custom designs and sleek elements. These rings are ideal to use with elements like black rhodium, delicate and unique silhouettes, and colored stones like morganite or even aquamarines.

A lot of people are drawn to these distinctive v-shaped engagement rings commonly known as chevron shaped rings. Unlike traditional bands that fit evenly around the finger, these rings stand out with their own unique shape.

Looking for a thin and petite style ring? Silhouette rings feature uniquely designed accent diamonds that add a light but effective shimmer which really makes the center stone stand out. They’re flashy and delicate at the same time without being over the top.

Number five on our list is the east-west style engagement ring trend. These rings can be set with most diamond shapes including oval, emerald, marquise, and even pear-shaped. They typically have a vertically placed center stone followed by accent diamonds on the band.

Maybe it’s their romantic inspired vintage antique look that draws people into these beauties. Or maybe it’s because of their halo shaped accent diamonds that surround the center stone. Either way, halo engagement rings seem to be a thing of the future.

Open rings really give you an elegant twist on an engagement ring. They feature a two prong setting with a small opening in the middle. This makes them easily customizable and even an excellent choice for a stackable ring.

What can I say? Us ladies love oval shaped rings. And I mean, can you blame us? They’re beautiful. Featuring an elongated shape they offer just enough of a distinctive taste on the classic round diamond.

Stacking engagement rings is one of the hottest trends in the jewelry market today. Woman love the idea of stacking rings on their finger. Who can blame them? Stackable rings are gorgeous!

A three-stone style engagement ring is a classic and timeless look. Each stone is said to represent the couples past, present, and future together. The demand for these rings has gone up immensely since Prince Harry proposed to Meghan Markle with one. Which isn’t much of a surprise—we all want to be a princess!

Each one of these engagement ring trends is special in its own unique way. Each stylish, unique, and affordable which makes them suitable for anyone. It wasn’t too long ago that purchasing an engagement ring only required a little bit of work. These days there is more to consider and there are many more options for you to choose from.
