Feel Great, Look Great

Living a healthy life is something we all want to do. Being healthy really depends on whether or not you’re willing to sacrifice some things to make yourself feel and look better. You can actually make healthier choices in things throughout your everyday life, whether it be eating better foods or exercising more. There are also many vitamins and supplements you can take which cost money, but are totally worth it.

I personally think that a lot of the common health problems today mostly come from unhealthy foods and not enough exercise. Of course, there are other things that play into bad health, but you fix a lot by proper diet and exercise.

1. Healthy Food/Drinks

In terms of what you drink, you’ve probably heard that water is the drink that can do it all. Even though it sounds cliche, it’s totally true. Water is the purest drink in the planet, which explains why it does so much for you. I recently started drinking water all throughout the day and drinking nothing else but a Plexus Slim Pink Drink and maybe a few small drinks of tea (over about three days), and I started to really like water and lose my desire to drink unhealthy sodas and sugary drinks. My nails grew faster, my hair appeared to be longer, and I wasn’t drinking as many unhealthy and sugar-packed drinks. Water also has great benefits for your skin. Another great drink is the Plexus Slim Pink Drink (this article isn’t in any way sponsored or endorsed by Plexus. I just really recommend their products). Their products can be a little expensive, but if you join the company to sell their products, you can get them at very reasonable discounted prices. After drinking half of a water bottle with half of one Plexus Slim Pink Drink a day for a couple days, I could tell a huge difference in my amount of energy, and so could my family.

Healthy foods can seriously make all the difference. Certain foods can promote hair and nail growth as well. It may seem hard at first, but cutting greasy foods, sugary foods, and dairy can make a huge improvement in your health. Bananas promote hair growth and are healthy for you, and they’re not hard to get (unlike some of the other outrageous foods recommended for better health and hair growth). I also love to eat apples because of their taste, and because they are very healthy. Their sweet taste makes them easy to choose over something that is sweet and not as healthy. Natural foods with no added junk are the best choice when it comes down to snacks and meals. Just make sure you stick with whatever healthy foods you choose, because eating healthy once won’t make you healthy forever. Also, remember that whatever is going on inside your body shows on your skin. Put good foods and drinks inside, and have a healthier appearance on the outside!

2. Vitamins and Supplements

I mentioned a great Plexus drink earlier in this article, but Plexus has a great variety of products to choose from. My personal favorites that I use on a daily basis are the probiotic and the cleanse, which is for cleansing your insides and cleaning out the gunk. I recently learned that the main cause of acne is digested foods building up inside of you, and staying there because you’re not using the bathroom as much as you need to. I know that may sound disgusting, but I have felt so much better and my acne has improved since I started taking these supplements. Vitamin D is also very important. A good way to kill two birds with one stone is to go outside when you exercise so you’ll be doing two healthy things at once! Vitamin D specifically helps to make you grow taller, but it is also best for you to get some sunshine everyday whether growing matters to you or not! Taking a daily vitamin is also highly recommended.

3. Exercise

Since electronic devices came into play, people have been skipping out on exercising to watch a movie or play a video game. To people a long time ago, there was no such thing as a phone or TV, so children played outside! Not to be super boring or old-fashioned, but we should all get into the habit of getting outside and exercising. Whether it’s taking a daily walk through the park or having a full-on exercise routine, it’s important to move around and strengthen your muscles. The more you move, the more energized you’ll feel.

The good thing about starting to make healthier choices is that it gets easier as you go. All it takes is the push to get started and keep sticking with it until making healthier choices becomes a habit.

Until that happens, here are some tips to help get you started:

  1. Carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go so you’ll have it there to drink, and so you’ll choose water instead of something else.
  2. Wherever you go, plan your lunches and take them with you. Pack healthy things like sandwiches, carrot sticks and ranch, salad, etc.
  3. Use an app to track your steps and exercise routine, and make goals to motivate you to exercise.

I hope this article helped! If you’re trying to make healthier choices, remember to stick with it and don’t give up!
