Meditation

How to start and why?

Meditation is very discussed nowadays and I think that is very great. There is many ways to approach it. And to me, they are all valid. It really depends who you are and what your soul guides you towards. Whatever gets you to start is perfect.

I used to not care at all about this subject. But I have changed my view a lot on this these past few years mainly because of my holistic wellness business. Learning about energy made me understand how important and powerful it is for us to connect with ourselves. Practicing awareness transformes everything. So today, instead of a short-story or an activist essay or a diary insert, I just want to share and recommend my view on the benefits of starting. Atleast trying it and see how it goes for you. Meditating actually means practicing or getting used to something. Like when we say ''I will meditate on this'' when we want to think about something.

There's many things that can help you with meditation and obviously, I always say that it can be such a rewarding state to put yourself in and such a natural state. A vibe of tranquility and communication with the universe. But it is not you praying for something, it is a form of prayer but not in a traditional way. It's more like listening to the answers that come from the Source, which is beautiful. Connecting within, with your own universe and with the whole universe. And there is something really magical about that. Something powerful.

Listening to the life force. It is a supportive state, an observation. It is letting go and connecting with the ''no time, no space, no body'' and everything is bliss. Whether it is an active meditation or a silent one. It recenters us. It activates us. It shifts our frequency.

Let's clarify that I am not saying that it is easy at first. It is not. You will have to commit to staying still for 15 minutes everyday which is not necessarily easy for most. At first, it is just about observing thoughts and feelings without judgement and without appropriating them to your identity. It is only about trying at first. Letting go. And then it becomes something you do not want to miss. It becomes something you can do as much with your eyes open than with your eyes closed. It is about connection to who you truly are, which is your soul. And listening for the answer your higher self and the Universe are giving you (same difference). It can be very blissful.

You can focus on your breath, or on a constant sound (waves, rain or a fan per example) and that will help your mind relax and disconnect from the hamster wheel of life's distractions. The benefits of meditation are numerous: it lowers blood pressure and heart rate, improves blood circulation, lowers anxiety and stress, helps focus and gives clarity, enhances well-being (mentally but also emotionally and physically) and creates deeper relaxation, improves sleep. It also helps in another ways in finding purpose and our paths, shifting frequency and finding alignment.

When you start, I highly recommend active meditations, like listening to someone speaking with sound healing playing in the background. When this becomes easy, you can go for silent ones and connect deeply within.

Here are my best recommendations, available for free on youtube: Abraham Hicks, Sadhguru, Joe Dispenza, Juan Pablo Baharona, Regan Hillyer, Anna Wood. Find the vibe and voice that soothes you most. This is a great start. And then, let your soul, your gut, your heart guide you.
