How to dissolve sand

Is it possible to independently remove sand from the kidneys and how to do it correctly?

It is possible and necessary to remove the sand from the kidneys, but first you need to follow a few simple rules. First, it is necessary to exclude the presence of kidney stones, which, when the sand is expelled, can get stuck in the ureters. Then there will be more harm from treatment than benefit, because the patient will have to be hospitalized with a diagnosis of renal colic.

The fact is that a stone that has stopped halfway causes acute pain, which only a doctor can relieve. So before you start to "chase the sand", you must at least do an ultrasound scan and make sure that there are no large conglomerates in the kidneys.

Secondly, it is necessary to determine which salt crystals the sand consists of. These can be phosphates, urates, or oxalates. Each case requires its own treatment.

Urates are uric acid compounds. Its formation can be reduced with allopurinol. This medicine has many synonyms - galloper, agurin, fuligin, milarites, curiosities. But despite the different names, the essence of the drug remains unchanged - it dissolves existing urates and prevents new ones from forming. Usually taken allopurinol 100-200 mg 2-3 times a day. Moreover, the drug must be washed down with plenty of water, so that the daily urine output is at least two liters. Usually, the drug is easily tolerated, but sometimes treatment is accompanied by heartburn, nausea, skin rash, and a decrease in body temperature. In this case, the patient should seek the advice of a physician who usually prescribes a reduction in the dosage of allopurinol.

If this measure proved to be ineffective, then it is better to switch to another drug. It could be etamine. It also enhances the excretion of uric acid and reduces its concentration in the urine. It must be taken within two weeks, one tablet 4 times a day. After a week's break, you need to undergo a second course of treatment, but this time it will be twice as short. At the end of the course, it is necessary to pass a urine test, do an ultrasound of the kidneys and visit a urologist. He will evaluate the results of the examinations and suggest further treatment tactics.

You can also get rid of urate crystals with the help of a freak. This medication contains substances that chemically react with uric acid salts and convert them into a soluble state. This is what underlies the therapeutic effect of the drug: it contributes not only to the disappearance of sand, but also to a decrease in the size of large stones. Produced ugly in granular form, it must be dissolved at the rate of half a teaspoon in a glass of water. This drug should be taken 3-4 times a day for 3-4 months. Only such long-term treatment will give a noticeable and lasting effect.

All of the above drugs are of synthetic origin. But there are drugs that consist exclusively of natural ingredients. Very often, experts prescribe magurlite. It has a vegetable base, so the main contraindication is intolerance to one of the ingredients.

Magurlite is taken not only with urate, but also with oxalate sand. Its dose is 6 grams and is divided into three doses. Sometimes the daily amount of medication taken is increased to 8 grams. In this case, the lion's dose of the drug falls on the evening reception. That is, in the morning and in the afternoon, 2 grams of the medicine are taken, and in the evening - 4 grams.

But remember that treatment with magurlite requires monitoring the acidity of urine. Before taking the drug and in the morning, it should be 6.0-6.7-7.0, no more. But how do you determine the pH? This is done very simply - using the indicator strips and the color chart, which are sold with the medicine.

The same system is used for treatment with uralite. It contains potassium and magnesium citrates, which slightly alkalize urine. As a result, cystine sand and urate crystals, which have an acidic reaction, dissolve. The drug has no positive effect on phosphates and oxalates, moreover, it can cause the growth of these crystals. Therefore, before starting the course, you need to do a urinalysis and accurately determine the chemical composition of the sand.

Uralite is produced in the form of a powder readily soluble in water. It comes with not only indicator paper, but also a measuring spoon that holds 2.5 grams. This dose should be dissolved in a glass of cold water and drunk three times a day. However, the dosage of the drug can be adjusted during treatment.

This is done by constantly monitoring the acidity of the urine. Its pH with urate sand should be 6.2–6.8, with cystine - 7.5–8.5. Indicators are determined by comparing the color of the indicator strips with the tint range of the color chart.

Measurements should be taken before taking the drug - this makes it easier to determine the next amount of the drug that should be taken at a given moment. The duration of the course is determined individually, and then supportive therapy is prescribed. It is necessary in order to consolidate the achieved effect and prevent the formation of new crystals.

Cyston is used for all types of stones, as it has no effect on acidity. During its intake, all conditions are created for the dissolution of existing sand. The drug is prescribed 2 tablets 2 times a day for a long period of time. It usually lasts 4 to 6 months. Then the patient is transferred to a prophylactic appointment - 1 tablet 2 times a day. The drug consists only of herbal ingredients, so it has practically no contraindications. It can even be used by pregnant women, but this is usually done not in the treatment of stones, but in some acute conditions.

These include cystitis and pyelonephritis in the acute phase. In this case, cyst on is prescribed as a strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent. These properties are also valuable in the expulsion of sand - after all, it can cause irritation of the urinary tract, pain during urination. Cyst on eliminates these unpleasant symptoms.

Urolesan has the same effect. It has not only a diuretic, but also an antispasmodic effect. That is why the drug is prescribed for the expulsion of sand. It is a dark green liquid that must be diluted in water or dripped onto sugar. A single dose is 8-10 drops. The drug should be taken three times a day for 5-30 days.

The exact duration of the course is determined individually, depending on the effect and tolerability of the drug. I must say that it must be carefully prescribed for cholelithiasis. The fact is that urolesan increases the production of bile and enhances its movement along the ducts. If stones get there, they will cause an attack of acute pain. Emergency hospitalization may even be necessary. Given this, urolesan should be prescribed only after examining the liver and gallbladder.
