Help Wanda

2020 has been a rough year for many of us and in many ways. Many of us have faced financial stresses. Others have gotten involved with the political agendas and become overwhelmed with the outcomes. There are others who have faced hardships with their health. Two of my friends have suffered heart attacks this year. Another was diagnosed with two different cancers. This is her story.

By now we have all heard of the controversial platform Tik Tok. It was on this app I met “WhiskeyGirl75.” I spoke with her many times and got to know her. She has been supportive and remains supportive of others on the platform. She interacts. She tries to lift people’s spirits. Her posts have put smiles on countless faces.

Wanda, AKA “WhiskeyGirl75” did not ask for me to write this article. She would prefer to keep things quiet and only among friends and family as she does not like to ask for help. She accepted the fact that I chose to do this on my own accord and is appreciative of this effort to draw attention to her troubles and hopefully gain more aid. She is a strong supporter of the LGBTQ Community. Her positivity can be seen in the “Before” video links below. As you view the videos, take note of the drastic changes since diagnosed with cancer. Wanda Fridley was diagnosed with cancer in her throat and in her lungs. She is currently receiving treatments. She must be fed via a feeding tube. Her husband cares for her as do her children and a few friends of hers. It is uncertain if Wanda will survive this hardship. Her cancers are aggressive. While her cancers are aggressive, so is she. She plans to beat it for her family.

There are various ways for the public to help her and her family. Many can donate their time and share this story. Money and supplies are needed but Wanda being who she is only fears for her family and the aftermath if she were to pass and the financial burden her family would be faced with. Wanda tries to remain active and positive during these times. As a cancer survivor I know firsthand how difficult it is to even get out of bed. She does this and so much more when most of us would have no strength to move. She still finds the energy to stand; to make positive and uplifting videos; to message her friends and family; to update her public on her condition and news from her doctors. She has shown strength and positivity through a very dark and trying time in her life.

The world is full of negative people and stressful issues now. I ask that the world step up and do what they can to keep a positive person afloat. Hospital bills are high and yet the goal on her GoFundMe is set low. Cancer is something I would not wish upon my worst enemies and yet it has taken so many from the world; so many of our loved ones! We can only provide support as those who suffer through it fight. Please give her hope for her family and donate what you can.
