It is estimated that approximately a total of 610,000 people die each year in the United States alone of heart disease. Many millions are saved through heart surgery, such as stent implants, pacemakers, open heart bypass graft surgery and the worst of it all, a heart transplant etc.

Coronary heart disease is the most common heart disease of all. Over 350,000 people die each year and an estimated 800,000 cardiac surgery procedures are performed annually in the United States. Another 500,000 cardiac surgeries are performed in Europe. That's a lot of people dying and a whole lot more confined to hospitalization to get the surgery done to save their lives in these two countries alone. With surgery some people make it, some people don't that's the sad part.

As technology advances, more and more people will need some sort of heart surgery procedure since more and more people, including younger adults are expected to have heart disease due to lack of exercise and a poor diet. The sad part about this is that nobody thinks it will ever happen to them. Not realizing that if one in four has this disease most likely you or a loved one will end up under the knife if the disease doesn't get to kill you first.

Heart disease can be prevented and it can also be reversed. The majority of cardiologist don't know that heart disease can be prevented or reversed because they went to medical school to learn how to open up your heart and mend it. They were not taught to do independent studies with their patients to prevent or reverse heart disease. You also have to keep in mind that their is no such thing as making money on healthy people, therefore most hospitals want you to be sick, your disease pays all their bills. Your open heart surgery costs covers their mortgages, yachts, private jets and luxurious lifestyles. Also the pharmaceutical department makes trillions of dollars on sick people. They are not interested in your health.

Things have gotten so bad when it comes to obesity and lack of exercise being linked to heart disease that unless we take matters into our own hands, billions of us will end up dead and or under the knife. All we have to do to heal ourselves is exercise at least thirty minutes a day and eat lots of healthy nutritional meals, which include fruits and vegetables. To reverse heart disease the first thing you need to do is to start exercising every day. you can start by walking 30 minutes a day and increasing it daily as body regains stamina. The second most important thing you need to do is to clean out your pantry, get rid of everything that is not healthy for you, completely stop eating out, give up eating meat and start preparing your own meals. I know it's easier said than done, however when it comes to saving your life and reversing heart disease to prevent open heart surgery, I don't think you have to be a genius to make the right decision.

Walking is free. You don't have to join a gym to get your exercise. You don't have to join a gym to go up and down some stairs. You don't have to confine yourself to an enclosed space to get your daily exercise. You don't need a partner to go walking or exercising. All you have to do is put on some comfortable raggedy shorts or sweat pants with an old t-shirt or hoodie, some comfy old sneakers and make that first step outside of your comfort zone. Take it one day at a time. If you are going to wait for someone to come and motivate you is not gonna happen. Only you have the decision to change your life around. Only you can take your life in your hands and decide to make big changes. By eating healthier and exercising daily.

Numerous studies show that when we stop eating meat, dairy and all other animal products such as eggs, cheese and milk we can reverse so many diseases. Did you read that right?! Yes, people with heart disease, diabetes, cancer and so many other diseases have done it under the supervision of doctors that have this knowledge. Doctors that tell you to change your meals for plant based whole foods meals. Those doctors know about nutrition, they know that our food can be our medicine. Those are genuine doctors that truly care about your health and not about you coming back to them for a monthly pills prescription.

There is a cardiologist by the name of Thomas Collins Campbell that did many years of study about eating meat versus eating whole foods and with a team of many other participants they were able to put together a book with the results that prove what I am telling you. Do your own research or read that book. It is called The China Study. Now imagine this cardiologist discovering that his dying patients could actually reverse their heart disease after putting them on a plant based whole foods meal plan. Imagine the excitement! However, the hospitals didn't like him, they still don't, if he keeps spreading the word, someday the hospitals won't be making so much money on those diseases.

There is no money to be made on healthy people. Healthy people don't go to the doctor every week, or every month and most won't even go every year. Nothing is hurting, why go to the doctor? I decided to cancel my expensive insurance when I realized that I don't get sick, ever. I mean, I do catch a mild cold every now and then but nothing that sends me to the hospital. When you eat a lot of of fruits and vegetables, you are replenishing your body with vitamin C. Lack of vitamin C is what makes you sick. All other diseases come to us mostly through what we eat. However, I do go for a physical exam once a year and my doctor is impressed when he sees my lab results and he sees that everything is perfect, no high cholesterol, no wrong sugar levels, great blood pressure, perfect heartbeat, normal breathing, normal body weight for my age and height, etc. Then I get that one question, "Are you on any type of medication?"

"No, I'm not."

'Wow! Keep doing whatever you are doing!" That's the reaction I get from my doctor. I tell him all I did was stop eating meat and focus on exercising a little every day.

You can do it. If you love life and you want to be free of medication and you want to reverse any disease you have, give it a try and judge for yourself. Stop eating meat. At least at the beginning skip one day, then two, then three days. You will start getting used to it, you will start feeling better. Get up from the couch and go for a walk every day. Increase the time you walk by a few minutes every day. When we start walking as a way of living a better and healthier life, we make our heart pump out more blood through our veins. When the blood rushes through our veins it washes away any possible clots that may be building up. Kind of like when you do pressure cleaning in your house and this is one of the reasons why it is so important to exercise, to rid our bodies or toxins and clogged arteries. When we go vegan, our bodies are getting the nutrients that we need to live a very happy and healthier life.

We don't have to age in pain and sick all the time. If we pay attention to the examples set by mother nature we will notice that flowers don't eat meat, they absorb the nutrients from the soil, the vitamin D from the sun, the water from the rain and yet their colors cannot be duplicated. The most beautiful plants and trees that mother nature surrounds us with do not eat meat yet they're alive and only die when we disconnect them from mother nature. Let's enjoy getting old healthier, let's get connected to mother nature and feed ourselves with the most colorful and abundant resources this planet provides for us! Grains, beans, nuts, veggies, spices and delicious fruits! We don't have to die sick, we can age gracefully and die of old age not of diseases.
