Every day millions of people take prescription drugs that are made from chemicals and have possible side effects. No one bats an eye at these man made concoctions which are conjured up in a laboratory, because medical science is respected. Interestingly enough the same individuals, will say that natural cures, home remedies and things you can do for yourself are occult related. They run from possible self help remedies because they believe they are of the devil but are they? Many might be interested to find out the origin of what most people trust in which is medical science.

The ancient Greek word for "pharmacy" actually means "witch" or "witchcraft". So technically it is the pharmaceuticals you purchase at your local drug stores that would be considered as the problem product. Men and women who take every pill they are prescribed by a physician don’t think twice about it because they trust their health care provider will not steer them wrong. Anything outside of traditional medicine is seen as something to push away from. This controversy surrounds Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT), which is using your own fingers to tap on specific meridian points in your body to remove stress.

Every day thousands of individuals go to the SPA and get full body massages and have strangers touching them all over. These professionals have learned where to place their hands and the right amount of pressure to exert. When you put yourself in the hands of others this is a lot of trust. Why then can you not trust yourself to touch your own body? People take baths in Epsom salts and other products to help them relax themselves because these remedies have been around for a while and are trusted, When something new comes along that is not within the norm there is skepticism and concerns that there are demonic influences behind it.

To some it seems trivial to make such a fuss over touching your own body parts if you can gain peace without the expense of a masseuse, prescription meds or office visit. There are otherd who say that practices such as meditation and EFT opens people up to evil spirits but others say this is not true and that meditation and EFT are nothing more than relaxation techniques.

In spite of the questions about this practice, there are testimonies that EFT has been beneficial for people with sugar cravings and drug addiction. This same line of thinking has been applied to yoga? with proponents insisting it is nothing more than relaxation techniques, but detractors say it is based on the occult and opens doors for demons.

There are people who completely debunk EFT as snake oil being peddled and say that if it works it is only a placebo effect. Some questions the repetitive phrases that are supposed to be spoken while tapping. From what I have gleaned, these mantras are different with each person who suggests them. Since there is no exact science to this it would seem to me that you could remain silent, or pray based on your personal belief system.

Many of us unconsciously tap our fingers and toes when in deep thoughtful and think nothing of it, so what is the difference in tapping other areas of the body? If you believe Emotional Freedom Tapping is rooted in evil then its best you stay away from it. If , however, you would like to give it a try, the above charts give you detailed instructions.

A thought to consider is that tapping your fingers in other parts of your body may not help you but it certainly cannot hurt. You don’t have to do a black msss at midnight or offer a human sacrifice. It does not cost money or take up any time. On the other hand you might find that it could be beneficial for you. Even with prescription drugs, there is not a one size fits all and every remedy does not work for everyone the same.
