3 benefits of using flaxseed oil

This product has the highest biological value among vegetable oils due to its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Only fish oil has the same amount of these very necessary substances for the body. The smell of oil is even a little like the smell of fish oil. Tip: Flaxseed oil is also a good food supplement. If you are preparing a vegetable salad, mix sunflower oil with flaxseed oil in equal proportions and season the dish or completely abandon the vegetable in favor of flaxseed.

From a mixture of linseed oil with milk, you can prepare a wonderful hair balm. To do this, whisk one egg yolk, a tablespoon of oil and a teaspoon of honey. Apply for ten minutes after washing the hair, then rinse with warm water. On the basis of linseed oil, you can prepare a lot of home cosmetics.

For face skin

Valuable oil for the skin of the face. It has antioxidant, regenerating, softening properties, while nourishing the skin. That is why it will be especially useful for women after 40, when the skin is particularly susceptible to age-related changes.

The simplest and most effective homemade cream for aging skin is the following recipe: fill the zest of three lemons with a glass of boiling water, insist for ten hours, then add a teaspoon of oil, the juice of the same three lemons, three tablespoons of cream and an infusion of rose petal. This cream has an excellent lifting effect. Apply it every day. The only drawback is the short shelf life, no more than two weeks.

Tip: do not use linseed oil when caring for the skin around the eyes, as it can cause swelling.

For hands and nails

The tool is used independently as a massage oil and as one of the components in the composition of home creams. Most often, flax seed is mixed with various essential oils and rubbed daily for ten minutes into the skin of hands and nails. You can also make a homemade cream based on oil, lemon juice and honey (all 1 tbsp) and one raw yolk.

But problems with cracks on the heels will help solve baths with flax seeds. To do this, pour two tablespoons of seeds with a liter of boiling water, infuse a little and dilute with three liters of cool water. The procedure is recommended to be performed every night before going to bed.

Moisturizing and nourishing the skin of the body

Not only the skin of the face needs additional hydration and nutrition. The lack of vitamins and minerals can lead to the fact that areas with peeling appear on the body, a feeling of tightness of the skin causes discomfort. Use linseed oil to make the cover tight and velvety.

The best way to give the body full-fledged hydration is to make an oil mixture for rubbing into the skin. Mix flaxseed and almond oil in equal proportions, heat the composition a little. And to make the procedure not only useful, but also fragrant, add 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil. The procedure is carried out after taking a shower — rub the mixture into the skin with light massage movements. The oils are quickly absorbed into the cover, leaving no greasy traces on the clothes.
