First off, let me tell you about what your adrenal glands are. They are small glands that sit on top of your kidneys. There is one for each kidney. They produce hormones that our bodies cant live without. Which one? Well, DHEA and Cortisol are produced by the adrenal glands.

DHEA stands for dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate. Now we can understand why they shortened it for us. DHEA is a male sex hormone, but it is actually found in both male and females. DHEA helps our bodies by making the hormone estrogen for women, and testosterone in men. So, yes it is extremely important.

And when someone faces constant stress, the adrenal glands cannot work as hard, so they become too tired to release DHEA. And nowadays, who isnt facing constant stress? Adrenal fatigue has become normal because of all the stress in every persons lives.

60% of women suffer from Adrenal Fatigue. But on 20% of them get diagnosed and treated. While the other 80% continue to suffer.

Under normal circumstances, the adrenal glands respond to general stress by releasing adrenaline and cortisol. But when their is continuous stress, your immune system rev's up and tires out just just we do.

SIGNS OF ADRENAL FATIGUE

1.) Persistent Fatigue - Also known as chronic fatigue. It seems never-ending.

8.) Frequent illness-such as flu or colds - Your immune system is going to forget how to work. Sometimes, it may not be an actual cold. Some people experience something call "internal fever". This is when they feel like they are hot, and sick. But their is no fever. But it does prove their is something wrong with the person.

TREATMENT FOR ADRENAL FATIGUE

The best thing you can do to help prevent or treat adrenal fatigue is to commit to a diet change. You need to cut junk food out of your diet, as well as limit your caffeine consumption. It's also good to watch how much sugar you are putting in your body, because too much isnt good for your adrenal glands.

You can also try: Magnesium, Vitamin B5,B6 and B12, Vitamin C and a Multi Vitamin.

DHEA is available in pill form. But normally physicians don’t suggest it due to having too much DHEA can cause excess body hair growth. Some people want their health issues to come to a screeching halt, so they try to double up the amount they are told to take, but it can make it even worse.

It takes only about a week to notice a difference after taking the supplement.

Do not take more than recommended, otherwise you might push yourself to having Cushing’s Syndrome (having too much cortisol and DHEA)

You can also take Relacore which is a diet pill that helps regulate the DHEA and Cortisol levels.
