The bush fires, the burning forests, the endangered species and the race to extinction, is what we would like to call the present unprecedented times to be. What the world needs to switch to is a sustainable living and to protect the only home that is home. When it comes to sustainable living, it is reducing your use of natural resources by making sure that you replace it with something sustainable as soon as possible and changing how you do the things. Here are a few points you should keep in mind.

Using the energy

When we talk about sustainability, it doesn't only mean to switch on to other alternatives, it even means to minimize the usage of energy that you have already been using. You cannot expect to change overnight. This includes the obvious turning off of the room lights and fans while leaving the room, unplugging appliances when not in use. Trading your high consuming bulbs with the energy-efficient ones. These steps include using auto regulators, cooking with least electricity consumption and reducing the wastage of waters.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

What you waste is as important to know and minimise or maximise considering its effects on the surroundings. Reduce the use of plastic and other trouble-makers that are responsible for the deterioration of our environment. Reuse the reusable resources, and recycle the ones that can be recycled. Here are a few things that people generally ignore-

Recycling and Reducing Cars and other motor vehicles

There are several cars on the planet, and nowhere else to go, they are not gonna vanish into thin air, and if you are making them vanish into thin air, then you are throwing a bucket load of good parts to worse. These are important to be sent to a scrap yard for the environment's well being. When we dispose of a plastic bottle, we know we have the place to dispose of it but where do we dispose of a car? The answer to which are car scrap yards. They are recycling bin’s, but for the car’s where the various companies, who recycle the car parts, and re-use them, for the sake of the environment. If you have a car that you want to dispose of, you can choose to send it to the car scrap yard in Sydney. It would decrease your carbon footprint.

Recycling paper

Recycling papers is probably one of the easiest tasks to do. You can either choose to sell it or give it to a recycler or choose to do a fun DIY. Take all your newspapers and waste papers, shredding them into pieces and dipping them into the water, making a mesh out of it. Once thoroughly meshed, you can choose to mould them into any shape.

Reducing the Digital carbon footprint:

While it may be hard to believe that your internet might be responsible for an ecosystem shut down but it is as real as it can be. The internet has its data processed and stored in massive data centres around the world that function 24/7. All the super-fast data that we have at the disposal of our fingertips contribute to our digital carbon footprints. Reduce your print by adjusting your computer settings, deleting restored data, clearing the old mails etc.

Reducing your fossil fuel usage, conserving water, eliminating the waste, are some of the other ways in which we can lead a sustainable living. Even though we are accustomed to living life with plenty of resources, it becomes necessary to prioritize our necessities. Trying to control and manage our lives for the best.

Conclusion

Even though, with the huge hurdle, where wasting is a norm, sustainability is a little too difficult to achieve. But by making lifestyle changes, developing good habits, becoming more organic, and being able to conserve, we could contribute to a better living and a healthier style of living.
