Pool Maintenance Tips That You Need To Try Right Now

If you are lucky enough to have a pool, your maintenance habits can be a sparkling pool, always attractive, refreshing, and ready to use every day. Prophylactic care, just like in your home or car, will go a long way in reducing the life cycle of your pool. Daily care of the water reservoirs in your above ground or custom pools will also reduce the need for an emergency drain in the storage of chemicals and other additives. The main thing is to be aware.

Control the structure of your pool

Water is not the only thing you need to control in your pool. There are structural elements you need to be aware of when constantly monitoring your pool. Make Sure of these things before swimming pool installation.

Weakened walls

Is the benefit of the sidewall of your pool weak? If so, rust or corrosion may occur, which should be addressed as soon as possible.

Cracks

If you start to see cracks on the perimeter of your pool between your deck and the tile, place a small bead of pure silicone. Do not allow water to enter from the inside of the pool and under it, through the cracks in this joint.

Doors

Constantly check your doors, locks, alarms, and any protective barriers for child safety. Doors should open from the pool and not into the pool, and the self-closing and secure mechanism should be fully operational.

Look at the pool chemistry

Today's pool chemistry is easier to check thanks to the test strips and kits available that show you the chemical balance of your pool water at the moment. Check the pool chemistry once or twice a week during the summer and once or twice a week during the colder months if you are still using the pool.

Optimal pH levels

The pH level of your pool should be kept between 7.2 and 7.8, with an optimal level of 7.4 to create a comfortable and safe experience for swimmers. Low pH levels on this scale mean that less chlorine needs to be added to the pool water.

The pH of your pool rises, this leads to chlorine activity. For example, if your pH level reads 8.0, your chlorine is about 10 percent active or effective.

Slag and pH lines

When the pH is high, the water will start to leave foamy precipitations on the walls of your pond. The pH level of 7.2 eliminates the formation of foam lines. It is always a good practice to clean the water strip weekly to reduce rainfall.

To avoid mistakes, just add more bleach. Control the pH properly and you will need and use much less chlorine. There are many chemicals and methods to control pH. Ask your partner or swimming pool services expert at your local pool store what they recommend for pH level control.

Check the water level

Is your water level too high or too low? The water should be exactly at the center level of your pool guard or pool tile for optimal results and performance. If the water level is too low, this can cause the pump to dry out and burn out. If the water is too high, the skimmer door will not work properly and will leave debris in the pool.

Check the chlorinator

Check your automatic deck chlorinator or internal chlorinator frequently for proper levels, loading, or possible contamination of chlorine tablets. Depending on the style and features of your unit, it will have the ability to add the constant residual chlorine required for a constant flow.

Check the chlorine generator in the salt reservoir

If you have a salt system, salt pool, or chlorine pool, follow these tips. A chlorine generator is a high maintenance device that produces chlorine in a salt reservoir. The saline water circulates in the generator and the saline cell. The salt cell must be protected from excessively pure calcium deposits and other raw materials for it to function effectively.

Clean the pool filter

Most pools only need to clean the filter several times a year, depending on the use of the pool. Three signs to know when it's time to clean your filter:

  • Drainage to the bottom of its terrestrial basin is delayed.
  • Your hose cleaner is cloudy.
  • There is an abnormal smell in your pool.
