How To Live Sustainable

The world is becoming more green. But it’s important to not overlook that it is also becoming more or less black and white... double entendre. Yes, with the recent protests over the unjust murders of countless American citizens, and the rise of a global pandemic... things have been, tense... to say the least.

So how do we navigate these tough times, and what truly can we do to turn the tide back in our favor. But before I get into that, this is all about sustainability. How do we sustain our wellness. As individuals. As a community.

I would like to preface this early by stating my sustainability hack is simply this:

The way forward to a truly sustainable human capital resource is through art.

One of the most overlooked and overused resources on this planet 🌍 is human capital. We work our people until they are barely healthy enough to enjoy the payback of their seeds they’ve sewn so to speak. To add insult and at times more injury, we inflict unreasonable trauma by ignoring one truth... that’s we don’t ACTUALLY have a clue about the truth.

We clamor for green so much, and why? Because we have made our lives FAR too grey. People from either perspective saying we aren’t blended but I truly posit that we are in fact blended after all, and that’s the problem.

We are blending with each other without truly understanding how to blend with one another.

I can say though, that as time passes we have become better and are getting better at recreating and delivering someone’s perception with extreme accuracy to their unique perspective... and that’s credited to art. Through art, we have embodied entire realities as closely as possible. Whether it be painting, sculpting, book writing, video games... all art finds it place in sparking new hope for humanity truly ascend past simple knowledge to the depth of true understanding.

None of us can be sure we are absolutely correct if we only have a small fraction of the full picture. And sustainability in this case IS directly related to how much of the picture we have. Understanding truly how we impact one another, and the planet we live on; will help us understand how we face extinction ourselves.

And the only thing that gets us even close to a picture is art..

But art isn’t the end all be all. Art only gives us the hope part. It shows us that through sharing perspectives, we deepen our bonds to one another, and it is those bonds that are responsible for the sustainability of humans.

So what else can we do beside art?

Well, the way I see it is that everyone has something to contribute even it may seems small to someone. Remember, sharing perspectives allows us to gain more understanding of the truth. We never know that a person’s small contribution in our eyes could be a world sized contributor on their end. Furthermore we don’t know if that small contribution might still make all the difference at the end of the day. We need to learn to live with, respect, and maybe even appreciate one another’s perspective.

So hopefully, or I should say artistically, I’m going to provide growth for my community. I will sustain my community because I will feed the next generation of seedlings to planted into that soil. I will do my best to inspire hope in them. And then, ultimately the global community will have a similar awakening.

I get way too excited about this hack, because not only do I know it’s doable. I’m watching it be done with tremendous results.
