The new Normal, it’s here. It’s what’s on the news when you turn on the tv or tune into the radio. You know life won’t be quite true same again. You have a feeling that life won’t be quite the same for your brick and Morter anymore. It’s a new world now. You might be at home now with your kids and husband wondering how you’ll navigate this new normal as your kids ask you the thousand daily questions and your blood starts to boil. Or you might be the hundreds of thousands of people in a n abusive relationship with your boyfriend or girlfriend/wife/husband as they let out their frustrations on you out of anger and beat the living shit out of you alone or in front of your kids. So you crawl in a corner in the living room with bruises and a black eye not sure how to get out of this situation.

Now is the perfect time to stay home and work from home. (Unless you’re in an abusive situation in which I’d call for shelter or another safe space to go) Think about it:

The Coronavirus could be a setback to your income or a way to earn some money online without needing to physically being out of your house period.

Because even if essential workers are still vital in this tough period in your country to keep you and your family safe or fed, I’m sure you’re scared and wish you could stay home too. Sure, you might be in the eastern trail workers catorgory and a bit concern if this is all worth it, but you’re not alone either. I used to work at Mcdonalds around the beginning of this pandemic and was scared of coming into work each and every day. I got scared of handling cash payments at the window and dealing with customers even if it were just 3 feet away. It wasn’t good enough for me. But then suddenly, as I was heading out of the door, I received a letter from the property management notifying me of a coronavirus case in the building. So i decided to quarentine myself in the building for two and a half weeks.

My sister and I FaceTime me every other day and mentioned how there’s remote work from home companies that yo could apply for and i thought it would be much more convenient for someone who was in quarentine. I thought about it and wanted to wait until I heaard back from unemployment.

And yet,I received yet another letter this week that we had another case of Coronavirus in the building. At this point I’m thinking”: maybe I should just work from home for the foreseeable future. So I‘m self quarentined for yet another 14 days. Although, at this point, I enjoy this solitude because of the fact that I worked overnights at this particular job, and the process and routine of preparing to come into work was exhausting: I’d come home at 6:30 Am, shower, wash my face, then hop into bed until at least 2:30pm. I’d be awake for 3 hours but then get drowsy around 6 pm, so I would lay down until 9pm, and around a quarter til 10, I’d be out of the door again, catching a Uber or Co worker car pooling me to work. It was a disrupter in my life for sure.

As I thought about this routine, I realized that I would be better off doing remote work from home jobs for the foreseeable future to ease any type of irritable routine that would affect my sleeping patterns and overall mental health. So I conducted a list of things I could do from home that would assure that I can keep on top of the bills yet provide the kind of freedom I’m looking for and flexibility I need.

1. Remote Work From Home Jobs

This one is probably the type most of you readings this article would be able to achieve since its the most simplest way to Keep up with bills. IT works like this:

You go on Google and search up remote from home jobs. Or you can do it through a third party provider like Flexjobs.com

You become a member while you register your information for a membership that requires a small monthly or quarterly fee.

From there, you’re able to access thousands of remote work from home positions that you could try out for yourself. Some positions required a home phone while others provide just a reliable internet connection. This would be a perfect way to stay safe and at home for the foreseeable new normal future.

2. Multi Level Marketing

If you’re into health and wellness or cosmetics then this is probably your lane of work. You’re more so a private contractor but you are in control of how many hours you put in and how much work you choose to do at the end of the day. Most of these work form home multi level marketing companies require you to pay an upfront fee to start, however there’s one in particular that doesn’t cost anything at all. All you have to do is sign up, this company gives you a website and store, and whenever people from your down line purchases your products, you get a cut base on the level in the down line.

Of course it’s not for everyone and if you don’t think you‘re a convincing enough person to get folks to purchase or buy anything from you then the first option of remote working would most likely be your best option.

3. Affiliate marketing with blog or website.

This option is for the internet savvy writers and reviewers like folks on Vocal+ who aren’t afraid to have their own platform and now how to finesse the system with blogs and affiliate links from major companies. So how would it work exactly?:

You search within yourself a passion or hobbie you’re super into. Could be sports, gadgets and Apple products, video games. Then you start a website using wordpress and write articles about that thing or activity/service you love obsessing about. The next step is to search for companies that provide services or products that match your hobbie or niche and see if they offer an affiliate program.

If the affiliate program from that company accepts you as a partner, you will have access to a dashboard area of banners, videos and other marketing material you can embed onto your blog website .Each time someone reads your blog or product review and clicks on your hyperlinks or banner and actually purchase something, you get paid! Now the trick to this is to write engaging content or reviews that will keep people’s eyesballs glued to the screen at all times. This is what digital nomads and other professionals like to call, the 4 hour work week. The platform I often use to achieve something like this (CLICK HERE) offers training and materials for you to create a blog and to monetized from it.

4. Live-streaming and game hosting

This is for my younger readers who grew up in the Tiktok Era and obsessed over E-girls performing hip hop dances from drake and Blueface on Snapchat filters. Also for the younger crowds: Who are interested in getting into E-sports and becoming the Micheal Jordan of the sport Ninja. If you and your friends want to make some extra cash Then live streaming platforms will help you achieve that. There’s plenty of social media content opportunities for you to monetize on over the internet.

Some young people use Tiktok Live, Onlyfans,Pericope or live-streaming gaming platforms to gain fans and donations or monetized stickers to get paid while entertaining their growing fan base. You create an account with these entities and film what you do live. The more fans you get the more money you’ll make too.

5. Taking photos

By Erik Mclean on Unsplash

Taking photos is the best way to make money online with ease. There are thousands of established photo stock companies who are looking for high quality pictures that websites or editorial blogs and news organizations are willing to pay for.

Yes is the new normal weird and 1984 ish? Sure, but it also means that we as humans can use the internet and live-streaming services to our fullest advantage and start to be independent from the confines of 9-5 if we so choose or work for them in our home offices. The choice is alternately yours.
