Selling goods without having any money to invest in them.

Do you want to make money on eBay without having to invest ANY money into it? In this article, I am going to show you how step-by-step for FREE on how to sell on eBay without spending any of your money. You don't have to have any previous experience in doing this nor do you have to worry about driving traffic to eBay or any other selling website whatsoever. You can do this for an hour or less every day or a few hours every other day whenever you wish depending on how many items you want to sell. The choice is up to YOU!

What do I need in order to start making money on eBay?

Great question! All you need is a desktop, laptop or tablet and an internet connection. That is it.

If you read this entire article without skipping it, I will also show you how to make another stream of income while doing this one. Don't wait another day living paycheck to paycheck or wonder where your next mortgage payment is going to come from. This is your chance to change your financial life now so you can enjoy your life allowing it to become more peaceful and happier later. You have nothing to lose because you are not investing any money into it.

Let's get STARTED!

How can you make money selling on eBay with NO money to start? How are you going to get lots of buyers to see your items that you are going to list? Remember, eBay is an authority site. What does that mean? It means that you are not going to have to worry about driving any traffic to it because they have enough visibility on the Web to help you promote the items that you are going to list on their website. They are already set up for bringing you in lots of traffic especially since they have been large and in charge since 1996.

Okay, so you mentioned listing 'items'. WHERE am I going to find these items that I am going to list on eBay to sell?

There are several different places you can go to find items at rock-bottom prices to sell on eBay but a few of the ones I would recommend are Walmart, Target, Best Buy and even Amazon. Walmart is the example I'm going to use today to give you an idea on how to get started NOW. Are you ready?

First, if you don't have one already, sign up for an eBay account by going to the eBay website. From there, go to the registration page. Enter your name and email address and choose a password that you can remember. I would suggest writing it down and putting it in a secure place so in case you forget it, you can go to it to help you remember. Then select 'Create Account.'

Next, go to the department store website of your choice. The one we are choosing today as an example is Walmart(walmart.com). Once you are there, click a department category of your choice and choose a 'rollback' item. 'Rollback' items at Walmart are items that once were selling at a regular price but then Walmart decided to 'rollback' the price less expensive for a short period of time so that consumers and sellers like us could receive the product at a better price. After the period is over, they will roll the price back to the higher original price if that makes sense.

Example of a rollback item at Walmart.

Once you have found a rollback item, you are going to LIST that item on eBay. Instead of using the title of the product that THEY are using, keep it nearly the same but change a couple of words. Remember not to keyword stuff your title. Use the wording in the title that will help you quickly sell your item. Copy and paste the pictures that they have listed for the product and make sure you post more than one. If they have five pictures of the product, then use all five. The more pictures that you have of the product, the better. You can also copy and paste the description but to tailor it to you, you can always add more information that will be helpful to the consumer. Next, you are going to price the item HIGHER than what Walmart is selling it for. Why? Because the higher amount is going to be YOUR profit. You need to make money in this and that is where your profit is going to be.

I'm SURE I'm not the only one doing this. How am I going to get buyers to see my item and buy it before they see anyone else's?

Great question! The key to doing this is to make sure you are pricing that item as best as you can LOWER than everyone else. Buyers like to buy a bargain BUT you also have to make money too. Not only will you have to have the money from the buyer to order that item from the department store you picked, but you are also going to have to price it enough to cover any selling fees from eBay as well as your payment processor. If you are on eBay managed payments, they are going to take approximately 15% of your purchase price. So you are going to want to make sure you are making enough profit margin for yourself after the cost of the item and eBay's selling fees. I would also encourage you to offer 'free shipping.' That is going to place you pretty high in eBay's selling algorithm because they 'reward' sellers with traffic if they offer free shipping on their products. To save you worries on that affecting your profit, just make sure that you are calculating this into your cost. Figure out what it would cost (put department store of choice in here) to ship your item to someone within the United States. Find a range from the farthest east to the farthest west such as California or Hawaii. Take the highest shipping range and calculate that in your cost so when its time to order the item once it's sold on eBay, you don't have your profit getting eaten up by the cost to ship the item. I would NOT suggest to sell to someone outside of the United States because your shipping costs would be astronomical and you could lose money and we don't want to do that. If you are confused on how to calculate the shipping costs, there are calculators on eBay that can help you with that as long as you get the dimensions and weight from the product in there. Shipping costs are decided by dimensions, weight and location to where the item will be going. ALSO, do not list a quantity of 1. You know that your department store has more than one in stock so I would list at LEAST a minimum of five. You can change the quantity inside your eBay listing. We older sellers call this a bulk listing.

So what items should I choose to sell on eBay?

Do your research. Find out what's on a rollback and find out what's trending. What are some items people are looking to buy right now? You can even do this research on eBay and do some comparison shopping in the 'sold' section on the eBay website. How many listings or items you want to put on eBay is entirely up to you. You get to choose how much money you want to make.

I sold an item! What next?

I sold an ITEM! What do I do next?

Well, first of all, CONGRATULATIONS! You did it!

Here's what you do next. Go to your order details on eBay and copy the buyer's mailing address. Next, go to the department store website that you listed the item from. Add the item to your virtual shopping cart and proceed to checkout. MAKE SURE you are putting the BUYER'S address in the ship-to field, NOT yours. Why? Because your department store will be the one that will be shipping the item to your customer, NOT you. This is where no money an no inventory come in. You are using the customer's money to buy the item at a rollback price and anything you don't use to purchase the item is YOUR profit. Once you are finished placing the order, then sit back and relax. You've done your deed. Within a couple of days, you should receive a tracking number for that item that you can add to your buyer's order details so they can track it to their house. That way your buyer as well as eBay is assured that the item has been shipped.

You mentioned there's a 2nd stream of income I could receive while doing this. What is it?

So glad you asked. The second stream of income I was talking about comes from the actual department store you just purchased your first sale item from. Let's make an example. If you listed an item from Walmart, they have what is called an affiliate partner program. You can sign up on their website absolutely free. It doesn't cost you anything to be a part of it. Pretty cool, huh? Once you signed up, you will actually be making commissions off of the sales that you receive in on eBay when ordering on their site through your own affiliate links. These links will help you earn money every time you click on it and complete a purchase at their website. That's making money on someone else's money on top of the profit you are making on that item. After so many sales, that can rack up lots of commission for you.

So there you have it. There IS a way that you can sell items on eBay without any money or inventory to start. I hope this helps you in many ways to start forming streams of income to receive the life you are looking to live eventually outside of the rat race that we call the corporate world. Best of luck to you and all of your endeavors. Happy Selling!
