Stretch marks are a common skin condition which most people will experience at some point in their life.

They can look like silver streaks across the skin, but they also range in colour, depth and intensity depending on your skin tone. While they start off quite prominent, they naturally fade over time, especially when using stretch mark creams and treatments to help support and strengthen the skin.

Stretch marks can be caused by a number of factors, but become most prominent during pregnancy when the skin stretches suddenly.

They can also be caused by genetics, so if a family member has them, it could be more likely that you will also get them at some point.

One common myth about Stretch marks is that men do not get them. Hormones related to weight gain and puberty are what make stretch marks appear. That weight gain includes muscle weight gain from lifting and working out. And many young men experience rapid growth spurts during their pubescent years, often resulting in stretch marks.

Another common myth is that thin people don't get stretch marks;Thin people have hormones, right? So whether someone is naturally thin or they have to work out every day to keep their slim physique, they can still get stretch marks. Even if a thin person never gains weight or becomes pregnant, puberty or even hormone imbalances can make stretch marks appear.

Also stretch marks cannot be prevented nor heal on their own no matter how much time passes.

Laser surgery for stretch marks is a very good alternative for people who have given up on cosmetic products, but do not like the idea of going under the knife get to rid of stretch marks. However, this has its disadvantages;

The cost for one session of a typical laser surgery for stretch marks can go from $400 up to $1500. Depending on the recommendation of your doctor, you might need to get a more advance kind of laser treatment to increase your success rate. The more expensive kinds of laser surgery can range from $1500 to $5000. You might also need to go back for multiple sessions until you achieve the best results.

Also, some common side effects are feeling discomfort or burning sensation in the treated area. The area also may turn red or pink as the skin reacts to the exposure to laser. Sometimes the treatment may also cause the area to swell.

This is not the case with using a stretch mark removing cream such as Revamin.

No matter how dark your skin, stretch marks can be treated. People of color have more melanin pigment, which resides in the surface of our skin in the epidermis. This can make treating a person of color potentially more difficult using laser treatment. You’ll want to find a physician who is skilled with dark-skinned patients though. Lasers are indeed still an option and there are topical creams, which also may help to diminish stretch marks as well. One of such highly praised creams are Revamin.

Revamin Stretch Mark remover is an advanced cream that helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The cosmetic contains extracts, vitamins and oils that improve the condition of the skin on the abdomen, thighs, buttocks and arms. The natural formula of the product makes it safe for the skin and does not cause side effects.

Regular use of Revamin Stretch Mark remover helps to lighten stretch marks. The skin's elasticity and firmness are also improved. Additionally, the skin becomes visibly softer and more nourished. The product can also be used prophylactically to prevent the appearance of new stretch marks.

So now you know that those lines that make you so self conscious and less than confident can be gotten rid of forever, what are you waiting for?
