If you own an air conditioner, it is important that you know how to clean it regularly. It's not just a device you turn on to cool off the living conditions of your home, but it is also potentially dangerous. The longer you let it sit without being cleaned, the more contaminants it will contain. This is especially true of the filters.

One of the most common problems associated with air conditioners is that of contamination. Filters block some of the pollutants from getting through to the cooling coil. This allows the unit to run more efficiently, which in turn lowers its operating temperature. However, if these filters are dirty or clogged, the unit will not work as well as it should. A simple solution is to clean it.

There are some options available for how to clean air conditioner. For example, you can drain the water inside and use that water to flush out the filter. This requires some manual dexterity, so be sure to have some tools on hand. Another option is to use compressed air to blast the dirt out. Be careful though, because you don't want to hurt yourself by doing so.

When learning how to clean an air conditioner, you need to take extra special care to avoid harming yourself. First, you should always turn off the power before attempting to remove anything. As soon as you realize there is a problem, turn the power off immediately. You don't want to do any permanent damage to anything by removing it while it is still hot.

Next, you should never try to pump air into an air conditioner that is already running. The motor inside will be damaged beyond repair if you attempt to do so. Instead, check to see if the air flow has already been shut off. If so, then you can safely remove the filter and clean the coils inside the air conditioner.

Finally, you should never use water to clean your air conditioner. Instead, use your vacuum. There are special vacuums designed specifically for cleaning the coils in air conditioners. Once you have completely removed the filter from your air conditioner, you can start by cleaning the coils themselves. If your unit does not have a built-in coil cleaner, then you can purchase one at a hardware store or online and simply attach it to the coil using a small amount of water.

And if you are someone who does not want to spend a huge amount of money just for the cleaning purpose of the air conditioner then i must say that you should go with a window air conditioner because a window air conditioner is a single unit and all you have to clean is its evaporator fan that's it. And you can literally do that within 15 min easily.

Not just that if you buy a window ac then you will not only save a lot on the maintenance cost of the air conditioner but also you will be saving a lot because of its efficiency. A window is really power efficient and in the long run it will be really beneficial for you.

And if you decide to go with a split air conditioner than also it is good but the cleaning part is really complex and you will be needing an experts hand to do that and hence you will have to pay some big maintenance cost. Also during the cleaning process of an window ac you will have to clean both the unit. You will be cleaning the outlet part and also the outdoor unit as well
