We all have our bad days when we feel lazy and less productive. But no matter how lazy or low you feel, sometimes you have to keep going, especially when it's about getting your work done.

At such times, productivity hacks can be super helpful. These hacks help you overcome your laziness and get more work done in less time. If you aren’t sure what hacks to use to boost your productivity, this post is for you.

In this post, we’ll talk about 4 effective productivity hacks that will help you get more done and that too, with more efficiency. So let’s check out what those hacks are.

1. Prioritize Your Tasks

You must have heard of this hack several times before and I am going to say it again. You need to prioritize your tasks if you want to boost your productivity. And trust me, prioritizing your tasks really works.

It helps you understand which task matters to you the most. So you can start your day with the most important tasks and then move on to the ones that are less important.

You feel more fresh and active in the morning so it's easier to focus on things you do at this time with more efficiency. Once you complete a task you get a feeling of accomplishment and feel motivated to continue working on your next tasks. It’s a great way to feel more productive and boost your efficiency.

2. Use the Pomodoro Technique

Another very effective idea for improving your productivity is to use the Pomodoro technique.

In this technique you are supposed to set your timer after every 25 minutes. During these 25 minutes, you are to focus on your work without fail. When the buzzer goes off, you can take a 5 minute break. But you need to resume work once the 5 minutes are over.

Now repeat the process. Once you have successfully completed 4 cycles take a longer break of 20 minutes. This process helps because of its ability to create a sense of urgency. Because now instead of having the entire day ahead of you to get the job done, you only have 25 minutes.

This means your goal is to complete the task within your time frame and you do your best to meet that goal. This not only makes you more productive but also boosts your efficiency.

3. Limit Digital Distractions

Do you know how distracting the internet can be, especially when you’re scrolling through your social media feed? It’s definitely tempting to take a quick break between work and check your social media notifications.

And you often end up giving in to this temptation without considering the fact that you’re actually falling in a trap that won’t let you out that easily.

So you check your notification and then move on to your feed. You start scrolling and scrolling until you realize that you’ve already wasted several minutes and sometimes hours doing it.

This is not only a major reason for your distraction but is also one that kills your productivity and efficiency. If you don’t want that to happen, you need to limit your digital distractions. Turn off your notifications and refrain yourself from checking any emails unless it's super urgent.

You’ll see that you end up doing a lot more work when you’re not digitally distracted.

4. Learn to Say No

Sometimes you end up doing things not because you want to do it but because you can’t say ‘No’ to others. So you not only do what you’re supposed to do but also do what someone else is supposed to do.

This makes you feel exhausted and kills your productivity. As a result, you become less efficient in things you do. If you don’t want that to happen, learn to say ‘No’. Understand what’s more important to you and say ‘No’ to things that don't matter as much.

So these are a few ways to stay productive and get more work done. Do try them out and let us know if it worked for you.
