Nowadays, the impression quickly arises that the marketing activities of companies are limited to the online world.

But can offline marketing in the form of promotional items, flyers and business cards really be completely neglected because of this? The following article shows the possibilities how effective offline marketing can be designed in modern times.

Not every target group can be found online

Even today there are still people who do not belong to the so-called digital natives and for whom the internet is still a book with seven seals. Therefore, there is no guarantee that the target group to be addressed by the respective marketing campaign can really be reached on the Internet.

Moreover, even in times of digitalisation, print advertising still inspires greater trust in people than online advertising. One reason for this is, for example, that online offers can change from one day to the next. This is not the case with printed advertising media.

Business cards and flyers are still suitable today

In general, however, all marketing measures depend to a large extent on who the target group is and where it can best be reached. But there are also marketing tools that make sense for everyone, such as printed business cards. These make the transmission of contact data much easier. For those who are not constantly on the move at trade fairs and events, a small print run of the practical cards is also sufficient.

Flyers are also usually extremely effective, provided they are strategically placed and stand out from the flyers of the competition. Often the flyer displays are made in a standard format. This already spoils the chance of attracting attention with an original format. However, creativity can still be given free rein with the material, text and design. Postcards also prove to be particularly effective in advertising, as they are very popular to take home and hang on the pinboard at home.

Magnetic business cards are also an original form of advertising. They can also be very well supplemented with online marketing measures. Magnetic business cards, which are attached to company cars for example, can thus ensure that the number of hits on the specified website increases.

The importance of give-aways

One offline marketing measure that should not be neglected due to increasing digitalisation is give-aways. For example, pens and small notepads are always needed, even in mainly paperless offices.

A grill or a decorative candle cannot be replaced digitally either. Hot drinks are also very difficult to enjoy without a matching cup. These are all promotional items that are usually used every day and can be personalised at low cost even in small quantities. During the winter months, companies can also have a tubular scarf printed and give it to their customers as a gift - thus they meet the requirements for a useful and at the same time original promotional gift to a high degree.

However, when it comes to give-aways, it is often necessary to use the internet to find really original promotional items. Only a few printing houses offer extraordinary articles. Often in this case there are also very special requirements for the data that have to be provided, which is why in the best case a professional is hired for the data creation. This can increase the costs a little bit, but it saves a lot of time and nerves. It also avoids disappointing the later print on the give-away, so that they cannot be used at all.

Greeting cards - but please handwritten

Greeting cards can also be used profitably today for birthdays, Easter or Christmas. After all, they show appreciation and help to bring a company back to mind. A card after or before the summer holidays is also a good way to make sure you don't fall into oblivion. Cards that are handwritten are particularly effective.
