For years and years, SEO has done wonders for a lot of businesses. SEO doesn't let you down, and that's part of the reason why you need to focus on it. It's part of the reason why your business needs it. As far as long-term benefits are concerned, it's your best friend in the long-run.

And these are reasons why I know your business needs the benefits of SEO:

#1 Organic search as primary source of traffic

Organic search is largely responsible for a huge part of a website traffic source. In fact, 51% of all website traffic originates from organic search. 10% comes from paid search, while 5% come from social, and 34% from other sources.

And because search visibility is such a great asset, it's well-worth noting that Google does own a significantly large piece of the search market compared to other sites like Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, etc. Google has established itself as a trusted websites. When it comes to searching for things, everyone immediately flocks to Google for answers.

What SEO does is make sure your website is optimized and in good shape so Google notices and recognizes it as a trusted and qualified source of information. Perhaps awesome enough to be found in the first page of the search engine results.

#2 SEO is cost-effective

The cost of running a business, online or offline, is no joke. It doesn't come cheap. But SEO, for the most part, is free. If you're doing it by yourself and keeping track of everything, that you can save on costs considerably. But if you're hiring a team, or someone, to do it for you, then yes, you have to pay.

In the long-run though, the initial cost of investing in SEO is worth it. For results that will last a long time, ranking for search engines are well worth it.

#3 Offers you trust and credibility

2019 and beyond will have a bigger focus on trust and credibility. To be recognized as legitimate in Google, sites have to be secure. With that in mind, it's not far-fetched to say that part of good SEO is building trust and credibility with your target audiences.

You don't see people wandering to other pages in the search engine results. Everyone just sticks to page 1 now, or just the featured snippets. That's why everyone's fighting for a place on page 1. And when you're finally there, the combination of good SEO and incredible user experience spell out business success.

#4 Impressive ROI

With a healthy budget and a consistent process, SEO is guaranteed to bring in significant returns on investment. Avoid setting unrealistic expectations though. Only keep your budget to a range of 6-12 months, or you risk losing valuable money otherwise.

An investment into the long-term benefits of SEO is an investment in every business' future. It's a long-term strategy that gathers results over the course of months, not days.

Think of it like an exclusive relationship. You're committed to doing it for the long haul.

#5 Long-term results and benefits for a business

As I've said multiple times over this post, SEO is a long-term strategy that is geared towards bringing you long-term benefits. It's natural to ask your preferred agency about how long it will take to rank #1 for keywords you've chosen.

But you should also know that productive results appear after three months -- at least. And if your website's new, expect those results to show in 6 or 12 months.

Yes, it's a long time. But if you do it correctly and consistently, it will keep your website in the SERPs longer, and as you continuously prove to Google that you have the best intentions in mind for your customers, Google will reward you with rankings.

#6 More opportunities for your business

High-quality SEO can open up all sorts of possibilities for putting up a better business and a larger brand. SEO produces visual results.

Over time, you'll see your website on Google's page 1. Perhaps the content you wrote may even be a featured snippet if its structured correctly. If your brand's popular, you tend to attract more people. They'll share your content. Other site owners will ask you for guest posting opportunities, or doing collaborations.

In the end, you get a website that thrives on engagement and generates business and steady income for you.

The Takeaway

SEO is an integral part of any inbound marketing plan. It helps people find and share your content. And knowing that SEO has benefits for every business -- no matter how big or small, then it's definitely a wor thy investment to make and to watch your opportunities grow.
